Andrea M Poplawski

Met at initial consultation and was impressed with her aggressive attitude and knowledge, and was convinced that I should hire her to help with my child custody/domestic violence case. She seemed to have no sympathy at all for the father of my child, and would do whatever it took to win. This case se...emed to take a long time just to commence. The thousands of dollars I had in retainer had vanished after several weeks, after seeing little results, and the billing was questionable. I had no idea what was going on with my case for weeks, and correspondence was near impossible. The only person I could get a hold of to ask questions about my case was her paralegal. But all of this aside, the thing that disappointed me the most was after having spend thousands of dollars on this case, and not knowing what was being pursued, on our first court hearing together after meeting with her two times and after having spent thousands of dollars on the case, Andrea did not even recognize her own client. She was supposed to meet me about ten minutes before the hearing to meet with me and go over the case and she was late and didn't show until right as court was in session with another families case. She came into the room and was looking all over and didn't even recognize me when I was sitting in the back looking right at her. Until our case was called, she had not gone over the case with me as promised, and did not even recognize me in the courtroom. Very disappointing. My ex then asked for a continuance, she was out the door, and again did not hear from her or her paralegal without having to consistently email the paralegal. What a waste of money, with little results or consideration.

Getting a divorce was intense to say the least. I have two children and was married for 20 years. How would I ever choose a lawyer? Well, I saw an advertisement for Andrea and gave her a call. I don't really know where to start, with how extremely impressed I was with Mrs. Poplawski. She handled, managed and out smarted the other side during my 2 year child custody battle, like she was General Patton in WWII. Her knowledge of the Washington state law is second to none, and her no fear att...itude to litigate in the courtroom is a talent & specialty, I feel she has over any other family law attorney, especially the previous 2 attorneys I had to fire from my case. I came into this litigation with a positive and optimistic attitude that I would get the proper representation I deserved, and Mrs. Poplawski far exceeded my expectations, to the point I have referred anyone I know, male or female to go see her first before their spouse does. My final outcome was that I received the parenting plan I wanted, I now see my 2 amazing kids 50% of the time, I get to have holidays and can now travel with them and share life experiences I would of missed out doing with them, I believe if I did not hire aggressive, hardworking and skillful representation finally on my third and final attorney. I hope I never need another family law attorney again but I know without a doubt if I do I will hire Mrs. Poplawski. She is the definition of a Professional, and will not back down to any opposing attorney. I think sometimes she feels the world is against her after reading her bio. about the challenges and obstacles she dealt with during becoming an attorney, but I think she LOVES THE ODDS!!!

Andrea is not only an amazing person, she is an outstanding attorney. Competent, Caring, Fair and seeking only to provide you the best advise and representation-When she advertise "bring your tough cases" to her-well that's not just a catch phrase. I have first hand knowledge of her intelligence an...d attention to detail which no doubt contributed to her being named Best Lawyer 2013. When I have family and friends that need legal assistance, I send them to Andrea. I know that she will take good care of them, because she has and continues to fight for me and my family. When things can be settled, we settle- when we have to go the distance- she is there. In my case of an abusive ex- I had lost my voice, my ability to stand up and fight for myself and my child. Andrea help me no only to articulate to the court the truth but in this three years- I was able to find my voice once again and stand up to the agggresive nature of my ex. Time has past and all the attacks he sends still affect me, but I am stronger and able to speak for myself -unafraid because I know that Andrea is there to help mediate the blow from him and that I am protected by legal avenues to make things right. I original found Andrea as an attorney because of her background as a guardian ad leim and wanted not what was best for me or him- but for our child. She has provided that remarkable service, because ultimately- it is about the child or the children involved. No matter how much I wish we could agree on one thing, Andrea has navigated through rough waters with me for the past three years. He has had to hire 3 or 4 attorneys to inlcude a team from Seattle to keep up with Andrea. No matter how many attorneys he has had, I only needed Andrea revealing the truth in court .

The most important thing about Andrea is that she is in a league of her own. Watching her in court is amazing. She is so brilliant and able to tell me story in a way I never could. She left my wife's attorney in the dust! She knew the facts of my case as well as I knew them. She talked about differen...t laws and wove it all together. Needless to say I did well in court. She cuts to the chase and is a straight shooter. She gives you the good and the bad and lays it all in the line for you. I really felt like she had my back the whole time.
