CAN WE PUT MORE THAN JUST FIVE STARS?

I think I've seen more sides of Terry Abeyta and learned more about how he thinks and works than most clients ever find out about their attorney. While I am now retired, I was a lifelong professional communications and marketing consultant, and Terry was my client before I became his. I had a ringsid...e insider's seat as I saw first hand how he shaped the services he and his staff offered people who needed and were seeking not only highly effective legal assistance, but real HELP at a whole different and far more personal level. Like most of you I didn't give much thought about that part until I had my own disaster. While riding a scooter in Seattle where we live, I was run down by an elderly man making an illegal left turn in an overweight 1980s vintage Olds 98. I didn't have a chance and ended up in intensive care with a cerebral hematoma and a bloody and gouged body that took months to mend. Despite my substantial injuries, my formerly friendly insurance company suddenly became far less friendly and was willing to compensate me for the loss of the scooter that was totaled, but very little more for my substantial physical damages, including back injuries which they blamed on "pre-existing" conditions. We needed help and I knew where to get it. Even though we lived in Seattle and Terry was based in Yakima, I made one of the smartest telephone calls of my life. Terry came to Seattle to meet with me and my wife. Over the next nearly two years he was our constant counsel meeting with us a every key point in what turned into a long negotiation for a fair settlement. He coached us in depositions. He guided me dealing through a series of sometimes day long meetings with "specialists" hired by the insurance company to establish how undeserving and virtually unhurt I was and how non-liable they were. A whole lot of questions came up during this period and Terry's staff people were constantly available and willing to go out of their way to give us answers and pass along messages to an from Terry. At no time did we not know what was going and a close relationship with Terry gave us constant encouragement and did much to cushion us from the hostile battering we were enduring from the insurance side. It was also great to know that Terry's firm, Abeyta Nelson has a whole complement of expert resources from professional investigators to independent expert witnesses in medical, psychiatric, psychological and other specialties who are not paid pawns of tight-fisted insurers and who can help Abeyta clients establish the truth. As we got closer and closer to turning the negotiations into a court trial, Terry kept pressure on the insurance adjuster who kept claiming he had an unbeatable case. But the compensation he offered also kept edging up as we got ever nearer to trial. Terry is not only perceptive and tough-minded, he's persistent and doesn't quit. My wife and I were recuperating in Hawaii nearly two years after the accident, and were in an art gallery when we got a phone call from him. "Dick," he said, "It's all over. They blinked." He had gotten us an excellent settlement. I have subsequently had two spine surgeries, so that settlement turned out to help us offset future costs that Terry had been concerned about. The insurance company? Oh, we fired them. We're keeping Terry Abeyta. I have no idea where one could find a better lawyer or a better friend when one needs one.

Review of Terry Abeyta

Mr.Terry Abeyta handled my case, that involved a personal injury caused by my falling on a city sidewalk. This injury resulted in my missing work.It was very painful. Most of all though,I felt that the city should be more involved, than they are,in keeping our sidewalks safer.I have noticed that there ar...e many senior citizens, like myself, who walk on our sidewalks.I thought that this might spur them on to do something about this problem. This is not the first time that Terry Abeyta has handled a case for us.He has never failed to be extremely trustworthy, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable concerning our case. His office always kept us up to date on how our case was progressing. He is the only lawyer that we would consider for a case such as this.

A fall

Mr. Abeyta was instrumental in getting a settlement, without going to court on my fall in a local store. They took lots of pictures and kept track of my progress. I was also kept inform of all decissions and given copies of all transactions. I was pleased with their service.

Representation from Terry

Terry assisted me in claims against a DUI driver that struck me head-on on the interstate. He was very communicative, assisted me in getting the treatment I needed and in negotiating a fair settlement. I would recommend Terry to anyone.

MVA

Terry and his staff were very helpful and professional during a difficult time in which I suffered injuries from a motor vehicle accident in which the other driver was responsible and cited for. Having no real legal background Terry was able to provide me with good counsel prior to making decisions.... I felt well informed and was kept up to date on my case. I believe he provided me with excellent service and I would recommend him as a lawyer who looks after his client's best interest.
