Keith William Howard

He was my public defender and he represented me straight to a ruined life. I took my case to trial because I was innocent and boy was that stupid. My investigator seemed to be working against me, witnesses were never interviewed, the beginning of my taped statement where my miranda rights were viol...ated was taped over and destroyed but keith couldnt capitalize on that. My affidavit of probable cause was completely different from the case that was brought against me and yet I sat in jail for months on the craziest amount of money you could think of. My bail was more than someone who murdered someone else. WTF!?! He never showed up to my sentencing hearing and the judge sentenced me to the max amount of time, he never fought for me and in the end, the jury found me guilty of one out of three charges and that was that. The lasting impact of having inadequate representation will haunt you forever and in certain aspects totally ruined my life. I only wish I either had an attorney that recommended a plea and really informed me of the consequences of losing at jury trial and/or an attorney that would have actually fought for me.

I needed a lawyer and I got Keith Howard. The first time I met him he told me I F****d up talking to the police. I didn't talk to him until night before jury selection. No guidance for the pre-trial hearing flying blind. Tried to fire him but Judge Hodgekiss said he was the best. Boy was that I lie. ...Never met a sell out attorney until I met him. The day of the jury selection he came and told me to take the plea deal . I did but did not want to but he kept being forceful to take it. I ended taking the deal for the crime I did not do. At that time I went before the judge and plead guilty. Then Keith Howard had me sign the judgement and sentencing that day and it was blank without the date telling me to leave it blank. I tried to withdraw my plea the next day and told that I couldn't. I was gone to prison the next day. I never went to my Judgement and sentencing Hearing. Never seeing my judgement and sentencing until I got out. He sold me out the question is who will be next.

Keith Howard didn't have allot of time to really talk on the phone as I would of liked to be able to reach my lawyer any time I needed however he was busy doing real work for the case in order to beat my charges and they were dropped all the way I really like him he is not afraid to put up a fight in... court he's very nice and is very intelligent he had a very good vocabulary at court and can purduade any prosecutor to back off on charges or if it how to trial he has been able to get the jury to take his side
