They say our younger years are mostly trial and error, but in todays society it is harder to make an error without a serious consequence that is potentially life altering as a result. I am a prime example of that, a poor choice of words during my high school career led me to not being expelled once...... but twice! One would think you would learn the harsh lesson of reality the first time around, but sometimes we need that extra nudge to move forward and grow up. Both times Louis was retained as my legal counsel on the matter, and both times he aggressively represented me and got me reinstated. The second time around though, I received some straight forward advice from him. But something that rings true to this day that he made me say over and over is "I am sick and tired of being sick and tired", also known as the politically correct way of saying "I am tired of getting in trouble and costing my parents a bunch of money because I did not think before I spoke." These events took place back in 2005 and 2007. And because not only of the love of my parents, but the dedication and determination of Mr. Byrd I was able to graduate on time and move forward with my life. Ironically I work in the legal system now, just in a different capacity. Something that makes Louis Byrd unique as an attorney is that he is very much a straight shooter, he does not beat around the bush or sugar coat anything. He will be upfront about everything in regards to your case, and many people out there seem to have difficulty with facing reality and the tough times. in 2004 i helped a meth addict who was living in his blazer by giving him refuge in my garage. he had a two year old son and was sleeping in his vehicle. i got charged with two felonies when the police came to investigate a friends car backfiring. basically i got charged for his drugs and of course ...byrd was appointed by the state to defend me. Of course he didn't believe me and plot thickens from here. it is now august of 2013 and he's representing someone else that is going to get screwed,so as of today i will be running smear campain on mr.byrd,. he failed to belive me years ago when i was itelling the truth and because of that i am now a felon. An honorably discharged us marine/ local 48 electrician who had his life changed because mr. byrd to do his job. in more ways than one

Mr. Byrd was the third lawyer I used in my divorce. I wish I would have known him sooner. He is a highly ethical and professional person. I experienced a long (2 yr) divorce that was costly and painful, but thanks to Mr. Byrd I was able to survive the process and receive my final decree. He balan...ced my emotionalism with practical solutions and kept the matter rolling when it got bogged down by the other attorney. Although the attorney on the other side was negligent in handling matters in a timely manner, Mr. Byrd navigated the course. In court , he was always prepared and conducted himself with poise, intelligence and confidence. I was proud to be seated next to him. He kept all matters to the fact. We had our documentation prepared well in advance and could back up our claims. The office staff was always friendly and courteous. Many times they stayed late or on weekends to prepare documents. They constantly kept me in the loop. Each of them treated my case as if it was the only priority. Many times I was contacted by Mr. Byrd on weekends or Holidays to answer questions or supply materials for the case. I believe the man works 24/7. He is truly dedicated to his clients and his profession. I believe anyone who uses Mr. Byrd will find him easy to work with and most importantly to communicate with in tough matters.

I had Mr. Byrd as my attorney and was not pleased with him at all. He told me that the judge would grant my husband everything he wanted. I did not feel that Mr. Byrd supported my case at all. He was very offensive and very intimidating. His conduct was very poor. I would not recommend him at al...l. He did not follow through with any threat and was all talk and no action.
