I have been practicing law (family and criminal) since 1993, and have focused my practice solely on family law issues since 2004. I feel very privileged to meet and work with my clients. I hope my clients view my work and involvement in their cases as a positive experience, despite the typically difficult legal situation that has resulted in our professional relationship. I feel very fortunate to have friendly and diligent staff, and they are certainly one of my best assets. I hope you have the opportunity to meet and get to know them.
On a personal note, I am married with two children. I love the outdoors (fishing and golf, primarily), and I'm dedicated to giving back to the community. I continue to donate my professional time to Cowlitz Wahkiakum Legal Aid. I am involved in Epsilon Sigma Alpha - a philanthropic sorority - where our fundraising efforts help to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Easter Seals, and other local organizations. In addition, as a past board member for the Salvation Army, I believe in the Salvation Army's mission in providing meals, clothing, and other assistance to those less fortunate.

Extremely Thorough
My particular divorce was a long process due to the owning of a business and the delay's from the opposing party but Noelle and her staff were professional and efficient throughout the entire process. What I loved about Noelle was that she gave me realistic expectations that were not emotionally driven but practical based on the numbers. She was quick to reach out to her colleague's when unsure of a process due to the nature of the business. She is a confident, well prepared trial lawyer as well which served me well in my case. Her support staff is top-notch and works with the same efficiency. Highly recommend Noelle if you are in need of family law services.

Outstanding
Noelle was wonderful from the beginning. She fought for me and wasn't in any way unprofessional. Her office and everyone who works for her made me feel confident at all times. Whenever I had a question, it was addressed and when I needed help on a particular issue, it was sorted and we came to an agreement quickly and confidently. The reassurance I got on particular issues was great and when I felt a certain way about how to proceed with things, she was supportive and would still caution me about alternatives without being pushy. Between her and her office, I couldn't believe how much she helped me throughout the entire divorce. Retain with the best!
I retained Noelle after multiple praises from people that had been in similar family court matters. This case was previously established out of state till residing in Cowlitz County. Biological mom decided to take a run a custody after a decade of absence, After the courts consideration I knew I needed the best attorney. Noelle got this case turned around and support finally established as well. Noelle is highly respected and in most opinions hands down the first choice in the county.

Noelle is my hero
During the worst time of my life, Noelle helped me to feel at peace. I could finally breathe knowing I was in such good hands. She is smart, quick, experienced and a go-getter. She doesn't mess around or waste anyone's time. Her smile is reassuring and her staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. My children and I were able to move forward into the future we needed and deserved (in regard to finances and parenting plan). Her no-nonsense style will put an end to your ex dragging you through the mud and trying to cause more pain and heartache. Noelle Angela McLean 1992 to 1999 was my attorney
I literally spent approximately 50K getting custody of my son Nick. When I went through my divorce, a different attorney said since she was the primary caretaker while you worked, you will spend 10k in attorney fees and you still wont get your toddler. What the attorney didn't say was that if you don't petition for custody at the beginning, if for any reason you need to try for custody later it will be 100 times harder. Why? Because in the courts eyes if you don't try initially, if your ex withholds visitation, the court really doesn't care. My ex lived in Longview/Kelso and I lived 150 miles away. She assaulted her mom, my son, and would later assault one of her other son's. During our marriage she assaulted me. The Guardian Ad Litem ignored her pattern. I went 45 days not seeing my baby son, spent 3K in attorneys fees, lost wages, and driving all the way to Longview and all day in court just to get the first contempt. My ex tried to keep us from taking him to Disneyland, because the paperwork said upon completion of the school year the father will have visitation...Well he was only five and not in school yet, so she didn't show up. Another 1500 dollars and emergency trip to court, the judge made her hand him over. I could go on and on, but after five contempts and driving her to bankruptcy we finally got custody. The amount of money we spent 17 years later is still felt. It took almost eight years and Noelle was my attorney the whole time! She is very very thorough and understands how men have such a disadvantage in the state of Washington. I always say attorneys are like dealers at a casino, whether you win or lose, they still get paid. Most attorneys will tell you what you want to here, just so you will hire them and then make up an excuse for when you lose. Noelle isn't that way. She tells you the risks! She isn't cheap, but many times my ex would pull some stunt like the Disneyland no show, or when she finally said I have had enough you can custody of Nick, Noelle was drawing up the paperwork and ready to go to court that day!!! She is a busy lady and may not always able to take your call, but trust me, when you truly need her right now, she is so there for you. I can't thank her enough for all she has done. I truly care about her and hope her and her not so new hubby are doing awesome. Sincerely Jason
