We were able to recive a great settlement outcome that resulted in: dismissal of the other parties case and avoiding the $5k in attorney’s fees we were ordered to pay 1 month prior. We were able to avoid trial, and structured an excellent deal. Avoiding trial was huge, and this law firm stuck to their values and made sure we were represented with the utmost respect and courtesy. This entire case started off with unfair accusations and was completely unjust. I was blindsided with a protection order, divorce papers, and accused of allegations of both physical and sexual abuse. I began calling attorneys seeking help. After meeting with several and not finding any that could handle my case due to the criminal aspect, I had a local attorney tell me I needed ...the best and recommended Vern. Mr. McCray handled a minor family law matter for me (we decided not to file, but I hired Mr. McCray with the intention of filing a divorce). I was charged a reasonable rate, and the basis for his fees were made more than clear. Mr. McCray has practiced for more than 20 years (I confirmed this... with the State Bar), and he tells me he has done over 100 trials. Mr. McCray was brutally honest with me, and relying on his advice I was able to take a good long hard look at my problems and decided a divorce would not solve them. Despite not filing my own case, I got to see him in action when he handled a minor criminal matter for a friend. While I didn't follow the procedural fine points, Mr. McCray clearly knew what he was doing, and was able to get my friend a great outcome (better than he expected, certainly.)

I was recommended to this attorney through two family friends. After explaining my situation to him he took my case for $2,000 dollars knowing that it did not meet the court expectations for modification. First court appearance he was 45 minutes late, second court appearance he was 3 hours late an...d the judge was done ready to go an did not care to hear anything he said. The office staff is completely rude and the lawyer is completely unprofessional. Do not use his services!
