Biography
My commitment in my practice is making my clients the focus of my representation. I return phone calls. I don't let emails sit for days or weeks before acknowledging them. I treat others the way I would like to be treated. My overhead is low, and I pass my smart financial decisions onto my clients.
These may seem like obvious practice standards to abide by, but they are far too often ignored in the legal profession. Trust between a client and his or her attorney is crucial to a succesful case and professional relationship, and the way I operate my practice is focused on developing this trust. It's easy to say that I'm a dedicated, compassionate, and zealous advocate for my clients; my goal is to demonstrate these words by my actions, both in and out of the courtroom.

An awesome Public Defender!
If you are lucky enough to have Attorney Zachary Hofstad handle your case, you will not be disappointed. He was successful in getting my case dropped from 1 year of probation to just 6 months. Then, after that period, all records of my charges were expunged.

Public Defender and prosecuting attorney
This guy was appointed to be my Public Defender. Thank god I hired my own attorney. Zachary Hofstad is a Lawyer in Thurston County. He is also the Prosecuting Attorney for Mason County. That would be a conflict of interest. Then he tried to talk about me to the prosecutor not knowing I was present.

Replied last August 15, 2019Although your review was left anonymously, I'm very confident I know who you are. If you'll recall, you hired private counsel before you and I even discussed your case. And although one of my jobs is as a prosecutor, I am very careful to sort out and address any conflicts of interests. Simply working as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney, in different jurisdictions, is not a conflict of interest. I'm sorry you felt the need to leave this review, but I hope things work out well with your case. Take care.

I've paid thousands of dollars for lawyers in the past, but not one of them came close to Zach. He honestly cared about you and your future and wanted to help you over come the obsticles you are now or you did in the past so you can move on with your life. I love you Zach!!
