Over eighteen years ago I opened my first law office based on the belief that an attorney's reputation means everything and that a reputation for integrity, dependability and compassion must be earned one case at a time and one client at a time. Some attorneys will over-promise during your initial meetings, and then ultimately under-deliver and disappoint you. Some other attorneys may engage in high-pressure sales tactics or try to frighten you into quickly retaining them. I do not approve of such marketing tactics. In fact, I often encourage potential clients that have clearly been "attorney shopping" to feel free to call around to obtain other estimates before I draft my attorney fee agreement.
