Sarah Smyth McIntosh is an Olympia attorney with emphasis on real estate, land use, corporate, business, and environmental and natural resource law. She formed her own law firm in 1987 and her practice emphasis is in the area of land use, with particular emphasis on the redevelopment of West Bay industrial waterfront properties into mixed use projects in Olympia, Washington. The West Bay urban waterfront sub area plan emphasizes shoreline enhancement and public access to the waterfront where mixed-use developments incorporate parks and trails for the community. She is also the owner and developer of Smyth Landing, a 50,000 SF mixed-use office condominium complex on West Bay.
Ms. Smyth McIntosh has been active in the development of every major land use plan and regulation which effects urban waterfront revitalization in Budd Inlet. She has represented a variety of businesses including two major forest products industries, Delson Lumber and Hardel Mutual Plywood Corporation. Ms. Smyth McIntosh earned her B.A. degree from the University of Washington in 1982 and her J.D. degree from Seattle University (formerly University of Puget Sound School of Law) in 1985.
She has served on the Red Cross Board of Directors, Olympia YWCA Board, Chamber of Commerce Board, WSBA International Law Section Board and was an Elected Freeholder charged with drafting a city county charter in 1989.
She has now expanded her practice to Manzanita, Oregon, with the opening of the branch office Law Manzanita. She is licensed to practice law in both Oregon and Washington, and is looking to serve the business community in Manzanita, as well as the growing retirement community's estate planning needs.
She is on the Board of the Manzanita Business Alliance and active member of the North Tillamook Rotary Club. She owns a second home in Manzanita and keeps regular office hours, every other week, at Law Manzanita at 144 Laneda Avenue, Suite #3, across the courtyard from Spa Manzanita.
