Ben , is amazing. He took our case when no one else would. We did end up with a partial settlement from a former landlord who was attempting to abuse us and the system. He was very considerate when it came to spending more money and was very honest with us through the case and it was a difficult case. If this guy gets ahold of something he doesn't let it go. He is intellgent and the type of aggressive that you want on your side when you enter the court room. Thank you Ben
My husband and I have used Ben on several different cases, he is an amazing, compassionate, honest attorney. The fact that he is so straight forward is something I absolutely respect about him. My cases are never easy to win...but Ben has always gotten us good results!
I am an Olympia native and Capital High School graduate. I have practiced law in Olympia since graduating from Lewis and Clark law school in 1996. In law school, I focused on land use, environmental, real property and contract law.
I am also Vice-President of the Board for Harlequin Productions and have been a volunteer and sometime assistant coach for the Capital High School speech and debate team.
My work team includes my principal land use paralegal, Doreen Milward, who was trained in land use by Sandy Mackie, of Owens Davies Mackie, who was the premier land use attorney in southwest Washington until departure from the firm.

Small Business Special Use Permit
Ben Cushman saved my business. I was in a difficult and complex land-use issue in Thurston County. Ben took on the challenge and demonstrated his ability to work with stakeholders and navigate the myriad of permitting rules and constraints. Ben worked tirelessly and achieved an outcome which allowed me to continue my business. Ben’s understanding of the land use regulations earned my trust, his civil approach minimized unnecessary conflict and his resoluteness resulted in an agreement I could live with.
