Do not recommend

I hired Kim Reid hoping for strong advocacy, and at first she seemed like a good fit. She was responsive and saying all the right things. Over the course of well over a year, she made virtually no meaningful progress with opposing counsel while billing aggressively throughout. I’d strongly encoura...ge anyone considering hiring her to scrutinize their invoices. After noticing errors/inconsistencies, I specifically requested to be BCC’d on all correspondence with opposing counsel. This request was never honored. When I terminated her services, the file she provided was severely incomplete. It took weeks of follow-up before I received my full client file, including correspondence that should have been included from the start. When I finally made the decision to terminate services, her demeanor shifted to outright hostility; a stark contrast to how she’d presented herself initially. She was defensive, demeaning, and quite frankly rude. More than a year is a long time to pay attorney rates with so little to show for it. I have since retained a truly competent attorney; I only wish I’d made the change sooner. We have made more progress in 2 months than Kim made in a year and a half. I would strongly encourage others to look elsewhere.

Family law / guardianship

I retained $1250.00 Kim Reid to do a guardianship case and she took that money and applied it to another family law case I was making payments on that she over charged me for. Kim Reid never went to court on my guardianship case after I paid her.

Waste of time and money

I hired Kimberly for a simple civil case , she met me a few times and basically trained me to speak at my own court case, well my past experience with court I think the lawyer speaks for you right, well she charged me big time for me to speak for myself and lost the case while she sat there and tried... to look pretty, well folks that don't get it, so my advice to you avoid this wasteful resource you will thank me for my advice seek a real lawyer if you want results.

After reading this review, I am baffled. This is not procedurally accurate for any process that I am involved in for family law. Clearly no one would be speaking on their own behalf with me sitting by, if they had actually hired me to represent them. I am fair priced and very reasonable with my clients and their expenses as to not "charge them big time". Unfortunately anyone can write a review on this site, whether I have actually represented them or not. My work speaks for itself, as my actual clients have outlined.

Save Your Money

The most frustrating and stressful experience I've ever had. Ms. Reid is unprofessional at best. She is more than accommodating right up until the time that she receives the money to retain her services. After that, she is impossible to get a hold of, and does not respond to voice mails or emails.... She loses paperwork, and fails to file important documents. Be careful...she is a good head-nodder. but in the end, totally ineffective and a complete waste of money.
