Professional and committed

I got rejected by 4+ SSI lawyers when I told them which judge I had been assigned (she had a very low rate of approving cases, like 6% or something). David, who I messaged on Avvo.com (highly recommend if you want to find a practice near you with reliable reviews) agreed to take me on and immediate...ly started working with me to hunt down every possible dr, psychiatrist, clinic etc that had ever treated me that could provide useful info to corroborate my case. Not everyone responded, but he and his team worked with what we could get and even through a couple supplementary hearings, he kept me in the loop and consulted with me prior to and after each hearing to go over what everything meant and how I should go forward. Obviously the fact that I won was based on my case itself, but I think his and his team's work was essential in presenting the argument properly and explaining my case to the judge. Responded to emails and calls readily (some other reviews are saying that he was slow, which I didn't feel was accurate but then again I do expect a few days delay when talking to a busy professional). He did ask me to leave a review after the case closed and I'm happy to say honestly that I would work with David and his team again. They did their best to respect my gender and preferred name while having to work with my legal name/gender status for the case, and were generally very professional and responsive. Over the past few months, I've felt like my case was in good hands. If you're on the fence, I would say that David Oliver & Associates is a very solid option that I have no reservations about recommending. Thanks David & team for all your hard work! I had little faith, he believed.

I was denied SSDI benefits a few times before I talked to David. He was recommend to me by a fellow Veteran. I would recommend David Oliver. Why 5 stars? The first time I talked to David was over the phone. He heard my case, and said he believed I had a legitimate case. He told me what I could ex...pect, and it was almost exactly as he predicted. We won the case. Every time I called and talked with him (or his staff) or had an in office appointment he always took the time to make sure all my questions were answered. Honestly I felt I was wasting my time and that I was not going to get approved for SSDI. However with Mr. Oliver's payment policy you only pay if you win I figured I had nothing to lose. Now I plan to hire him again for my VA benefits to improve my VA Disability Rating. Semper Fi J

Hands down, recommended.

Reliable, bluntly honest, supportive and strong. He sought to understand my disability and situation by going after all my medical documents, which was no easy task. He supported me when I thought about giving up my case. He was reliable when he studied and organized and put together a very compellin...g case. The best of all, he won’t hesitate to bring up any inconsistencies that might hinder a case and to make sure every piece is put together to win your case! If you’re looking for a disability lawyer, I absolutely recommend David.

He knows disability law!

David Oliver was my first choice for representation. I figured since he has extensive knowledge of disability claims, and his main focus is disability law. Upon our first consultation I signed on to utilize his expertise for helping me navigate the extensive process that it takes to have a favorabl...e outcome when the court hearing arrives. Do your diligence as a client, and he will do his job as your attorney.

Excellent Attorney

Last fall, after two denials, I was waiting for my hearing to be scheduled, which was taking forever. Finally I received my hearing date and immediately after, my first attorney informed me that he was dropping my case. He said that the judge I was assigned to is so awful that he refuses to deal with... her. So here I was, already 2.5 years into the process, with my hearing date set and no attorney. I was so disheartened (on top of being very sick) that I almost gave up. I decided to call just two attorneys to see if one would take my case. So I researched attorneys in my area and chose two. One turned me down without even taking the time to really understand my case. But lucky for me, David Oliver took the time to listen and felt that my case was strong. He was not intimidated by the judge and said he would never drop a client because of a tough judge. David was patient and thorough and made sure all of my important records were in. He created custom questionnaires for me to take to my doctor, therapist, physical therapist and surgeon, and advised me on the personal letters I needed to collect. The judge had really harsh reviews and has only approved 19% of her cases so far this year. I was intimidated. But David explained his strategy and why he felt we would win. The hearing was this morning and the judge was very kind and patient. It's almost been 3 years since I filed my disability paperwork, and it's finally over. We won! I'm grateful to David for his attention to detail and careful guidance. When I looked at my records after my second denial, it was clear that my former attorney only collected about half of my medical records and never once spoke with me to advise me about strategy or anything I could do to strengthen my case. This has been quite a journey and I'm so glad I ended up with the right attorney. It was a disaster that turned into a great blessing. Thank you so much David, for taking the time to understand my case and supporting me!
