Happy Client

I was very happy with the work Mr. Murry did for me and my case. He was very responsive to my needs and requests. He provided me with legal counsel that I was comfortable with and I felt that he always had my best interest in mind.

Clients best interest!

Hired Mr. Murry and his team to help with a international divorce and they went above and beyond. Kept an open communication line with me throughout the entire case which took a little over a year due to some circumstances. “Brian” and “Kyra” always kept my best interest at hand and made me feel as i...f I was more than just another client. You can’t go wrong with Mr. Murry and his team if you’re looking for a group that will be there when you call, tell it like it is, and fight for what their client wants out of a case. Did not zealously represent client

We hired Mr. Murry for a family law case. Early on he gave the impression of being practical, hard working, and focused. As the case progressed toward the hearing, every question we had and suggestion we made was dismissed and negated as "not relevant" - everything. As the court date approached, w...e had concerns but there wasn't time to change attorneys. Again, we asked questions that fell on deaf ears. The day of the hearing it became clear that either there never had been an agreement with the other attorney, as we had been told by Mr. Murry, or the other attorney changed his mind. This changed nothing in Mr. Murry's approach to court - he was unable or unwilling to pivot. His focus was on ending the case quickly and getting out of court that day - he repeatedly said to us and to the court "this won't take long" - not on aggressively representing our case. The day of court he brought up "we should have done" issues that he had never mentioned to us. While the outcome of the case may have been the same regardless, Mr. Murry certainly did not provide zealous representation, include his client in decision making, or focus on the outcome of the case - he wanted it over quickly and did as little work as possible while charging over $5,000. I would never consult or hire him again and certainly don't recommend him.

DISCLAIMER: I have no confirmation of who this is. Since Avvo lets you choose to post anonymously, and as the facts are too general, I cannot guarantee 100% who this client is. That being said, I believe I know who it is, and will answer in that regard. Regarding the agreement with the other attorney, there was no such agreement, no was the client told that. I have no idea where that is coming from. Regarding "should have done" issues, the client, without input from me, filed a second action, and did not file their evidence at the same time. Court rules prohibit filing evidence that should have been filed at the start of the case, except in a few limited instances. This was pointed out to the client before the hearing date, as well as after the hearing. He attempted to blame me, stating that I knew or should have known he was going to file. Again, he filed with no prior notice to me, nor any input as to what he should do when he filed. The client was kept fully in the loop at all times. His questions were heard, but he had troubling separating irrelevant questions (as pertaining to the issues before the court) and relevant questions. I dismissed irrelevant questions that had nothing to do with the pending matters, to minimize the client's time and cost. The client is upset because they lost on both actions (1 of which I did not file) and as a result wrote this review. The action I filed that he lost on was lost not because of anything I did, but because of the facts.

Relationship: Co-worker

"I liked arguing with Brian Murry when he was opposing counsel and we settled a very contentious case. Unfortunately, we can no longer oppose each other on cases but it's a win for Lutz & Associates to have a such an intelligent attorney who says what he means and means what he says. If you're looking for an attorney to provide you with clear direction, a confident plan forward, and leave no guesswork for you, Mr. Murry is your attorney."

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"As a fellow practitioner, I run across two types of attorneys: Those who are professional and those who aren't. Brian is the pinnacle of professionalism. He's easy to work with, and never hides the ball. He's honest, up-front, and doesn't play games. He tries to get things handled in the most efficient manner possible, which saves clients time and money. He's open to creative solutions. I'd be happy to have him working the other side of a case again."
