Paul Christian Posadas

I needed to file a major modification of my parenting plan due to safety issues in the other household. I received Mr. Posadas’ name through recommendations from trusted friends and members of the legal community and he exceeded my expectations in every way. He ultimately delivered an agreed order th...at was fair, protective, and in the best interest of our daughter, avoiding a trial. Specifically, Mr. Posadas’ communication was prompt, clear, respectful, and (with opposing counsel) assertive. I never felt in the dark, there were no phone calls or emails of mine left unanswered, and even at the time of initial consult, he never plied me with promises of best-case scenarios. Mr. Posadas had a plan and was extremely competent and professional in executing it. If you are looking for a Thurston County family law attorney who is experienced, tough, professional, ethical, and respected by his peers to represent you through a difficult family transition or crisis, I don’t think you could do better than Paul Posadas and his excellent team of paralegals and office professionals.

This review of Paul is three years following my divorce. I hired Paul to represent me in my divorce and child support proceedings starting in 2015. My ex and I settled out of court eventually in September of 2016. There were good things about being represented by Paul and there were things that I ...wish that would have gone differently. Whether these were circumstantial or not, it is hard to know at this point but the following is my honest opinion of how Paul represented me. Paul is very professional and well spoken in and out of court. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to family law. He is also smart and good with financial figures. When it comes to cost, I would say he is about in the average range as most people pay an inordinate amount of money on average in divorce proceedings in any case. In addition, I appreciated that he referred the case to a very good guardian ad litem who saved me from losing my parental rights. He argues well in front of the judge and he is even tempered and open minded. For a typical case, you can't go wrong. Paul seemed too busy to represent me. Very little was spent with me coming up with a plan before appearing in court. On the first day of court, he was representing about 3 different clients. As a result it seems like he did not defend me as vigorously as he should have nor did he know enough to defend me against false accusations. His plan seemed to focus only on defense and was also not willing to do the things that I wanted including pursue mental health concerns of my ex, her continued insistence to pump my children full of medicines, and focus the court on her making false accusations against me. It was almost as if he did not believe my side. I was not happy with how we settled. I was talked into trading the house away for my retirement benefits which turned out not to be an even trade in my opinion. I was also talked into helping my ex with attorney fees. I now may never own a house. In hindsight, I believe I should have hired a different lawyer for my case since my ex was a very vindictive and controlling person and I am not sure that Paul was the right attorney to handle that at the time. His assistant was very unprofessional who once sent me other clients' documents by mistake.

Paul is officially my hero! My case was very complex and highly litigious. Thanks to Paul's strategy and negotiation skills, I got the best possible outcome in my case, which was better than I ever imagined would be attainable. I would and will recommend Paul to anyone and everyone who is facing... a family law matter.
