BIAS

This "attorney" is suppose to work for the state in the child custody/support division. So to be fair to both clients is critical. As it involves childrens well being. But Ms. Vincent is very lazy and will not review information pretaining to the case until the hearing dates. Then she arrives late, (...after court has started) which makes it impossible to even discuss anything with her. She follows her opinions and feelings that she wants done, not by the law. So never, never make her mad. She will bad mouth and degrade you at court. No matter how it will affect the child. She plays "dumb" when the court asks her knowledge of facts that have been addressed. "What, I don't recall and not to my knowledge" are her favorites. I would ask to be reassigned to a different lawyer to handle your case, but the Proscuters office will NOT do this. So I'm sorry but you are at her mercy when going to child support hearings when she is assigned your case in Tacoma Washington.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I have known Elizabeth for many years. She and I have always been on the opposite sides of cases. As a prosecutor on the child support docket, her job was to represent the state rather than the parents. The negative comment from a "client" is clearly off-base and a fine example of the unrealistic expectations every lawyer faces in any child support situation. While Elizabeth and I have opposed each other (sometimes very heatedly) she has always been well-prepared each day for very heavy case loads, knowledgeable about the law and conscientious of every ethical obligation imposed on prosecutors. I have also dealt with her as opposing counsel on criminal matters. I have had the same experience with her in that context too. She's a terrific professional. On a personal level she is a supremely decent human being."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
