I specialize in divorce and custody cases. Please see and contact me through my website at https://markbaumann.com/.
As a lawyer, my job is to achieve my client’s goals. Often times, clients need help defining their goals. Listening to the client and understanding their problems, needs and interests, working through the options to find the best way to achieve their goals is typically the first step in fashioning a strategy in which to proceed with the case.
As a mediator, my job is to help the parties find a way to resolve their case without having to go to court. Mediation gives people the chance to control the outcome of their case, keep costs to a minimum, and usually provides better overall outcomes. Even "difficult" cases can be resolved by using the mediation process. I mediate cases anywhere in western Washington.
High conflict cases are my passion and I am a family law specialist, covering all areas of family law, including trial and pre-trial work, counseling and/or mediation for divorce, custody, visitation, child support, modifications, grandparent and third party visitation, property division, retirements, alimony and prenuptial agreements.
In the first part of my career I gained experience in a wide variety of matters, including real estate, estate planning, business start ups and purchases, hi-tech agreements, intellectual property, contract drafting, taxing issues, bankruptcy, felony/misdemeanor/traffic trials and appeals and teaching creepy debt collectors a lesson.
