Criminal Defense

Chris handled my case very professionally and was always on top of things. I had no idea what to expect and having Chris represent me was the best decision I made. He went out of his way to communciate with the other attorney and always kept me informed as to what was going on. He went above and b...eyond my expectations. His assistants were also helpful and very friendly. I would definately hire Chris again. He puts his heart into his practice and it shows.

We do have excellent, and professional staff. A prosecutor told me recently that he had never before seen the level of persistence and dedication that he saw from my paralegal.

Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support..........

At first I believed Chris was going to fight for me. I am a working professional who was in an mentally abusive marriage with my husband. I realized it was time to leave. I have always done the right thing in life and thought I was doing the right thing by leaving. I have 2 wonderful children who...m I love with all my heart. For whatever reason the court granted temporary custody to my husband. Mind you I have done nothing wrong, except working full-time for the past 2 years as my husband (soon to be ex) stayed at home unemployed. I have been a full-time mom and a full-time employee. I haven't missed a step in my childrens lives. I asked Chris again, if he was going to fight for me. He said yes, but unfortunately he has failed to do so. I call and email Chris and he doesn't return my calls or emails in a prompt manner. He is a lawyer who wants nothing but money and doesn't produce results. He has kept me in the dark about eveything. I am now on the verge of loosing everything that is important in my life.

I do not know who this former client is. I suppose the disadvantage of online, anonymous reviews is that interpersonal, constructive communication is not possible. I would invite this person to please call me, or stop by my office so we can discuss the specific criticisms here, so I can improve. I can say that my office has a policy to always respond to clients within 24 hours. I am available via email, phone and in person. In one recent case, based on a client's needs, we sent over 65 emails in a four month period, I met with her every week and a half, and we talked on the phone in between those meetings. This type of contact is common during a busy case. I am grateful for each one of my clients, and recognize that each one is unique. I try to give objective and informed advice based on the law and my experience from the very start of a matter. I have observed that cases work out better when clients follow my advice, as sometimes it is hard for people to see the weaknesses in their case, the risks in their actions, or not to make decisions based on the strong emotions inherent in dissolution.

"Chris and I met recently through the Skagit County collaborative divorce community which he's taken the initiative in forming. Though we've not yet had cases together, it's obvious to me that, in addition to his obvious leadership skill, he's a smart attorney and someone who is both honest and trustworthy. I've been doing this kind of work a long time and can recognize who is sincere in truly wanting to help clients and who is willing to walk his talk. To do this kind of work requires a capacity to stretch and grow, to see one's own shadow, and to discover the times and places one gets caught. That's not an easy for anyone. I definitely see that willingness in Chris. He clearly cares about doing good work. I look forward to partnering with him on what will hopefully be many collaborative cases over the years to come."

He has the potential to be one of the best attorneys around. Also, I find him to be a man of fine morals and the Skagit community is lucky he is practicing law in our county.
