You can't find better bankruptcy (BK) representation

Want a knowledgeable and effective BK lawyer? Look no further. He wiped out $900k of debt for me even though I had rather sizable tax returns. I put off BK for many years just because I looked too good on paper to think I could qualify. David is a non-nonsense partner that will dispense some tough lo...ve advice along with his legal skills, but he gets the job done and continues to work on my behalf even now that the worst is over. And one more thing: ignore the reprimand from 2006 that sticks out like a sore thumb on this site; I know the story and it's no big thing (he'll tell you too if you are interested in hearing about it). Only criticism I have is that sometimes he gets TOO busy, but I excuse that based on how I know he spent more time with me than he probably should have (so he probably does with others too).

Thankful Client

I would say filing for bankruptcy ranks as high on the stress scale as going through a divorce! And if you are me, you are facing both at the same time!! So what do you do? You reach out to those who you trust to refer you to a trustworthy attorney who can help you with your bankruptcy. I believe... in being thorough, so I solicited the opinions of more than one friend; my banking friend, my legal assistant friend and a third unrelated source. All three told me to call David Vis. Thank you all for referring me to David!! David is an attorney who truly cares about his clients, and believes in what he does to help others. He informed me of the process, answered all of my questions, and as well gave me tasks to handle on my end, which included taking two on-line classes that are mandatory to get through this process. I did everything David asked of me. He was great calling me back and keeping me informed at all times. If you listen to him, take notes and do your part, you will be as happy as I am that you hired David. My case went smooth, and the final discharge was a few months ago. Then, out of the clear blue, he called me. Of course, since I am still going through my dissolution action, I was panicked that something was wrong. No, nothing was wrong, David was simply calling me to make sure everything was going okay with me, and wanted to be sure I was not having an issues with creditors. In my professional opinion, David went above and beyond the call of duty by calling me. I recommend you hire David Vis as your bankruptcy attorney, you will not regret it!

Awesome lawyer

David Vis helped us get through a difficult time. David was very understanding of our situation and got us through it the best and most inexpensive way he could. I am sending my son to him as my son is going to be going through a divorce and unfortunately for my son the last 6 years of marriage cos...t him his good credit rating. I would not send my son to someone I did not trust.

Smart, creative & thorough

My wife and I were in a tough spot. Our business was failing, a victim of tough economic times and intense competitive pressures. Our house had been mortgaged repeatedly to supply working capital for the business in the hopes of a miraculous turnaround and now we were going to lose them both. When... we turned to David for help, we were stressed, embarrassed and in unfamiliar waters - looking at bankruptcy. From this low point, David helped us understand the process, showed us how we could protect some of our assets and helped us see a way through to a new beginning. He worked hard on our behalf and was constantly making suggestions about potential avenues for us to explore with respect to trying to keep our home, etc. He called banks and recommended friendly executives at a local Title Company as part of his advocacy. I had phone conversations with him in the evenings, on weekends, etc. In short, David really honored his commitment to us. Sure, he's busy. No surprise there - considering his work ethic, expertise and generosity of spirit he's in great demand. But with his help, we came through this difficult process with a clear understanding of how the system works, optimism for the future and our dignity intact. It's a tough road, no doubt about that but if you've got to go down it, you want David Vis beside you.

Bankruptcy Done Smart

I chose David after interviewing several other bankruptcy attorneys in Bellingham, and I chose wisely. David is smart, insightful, practical and he knows the process exceptionally well. I learned to listen to his advice carefully and follow it to the letter. The end result is still pending, but all i...ndications are that I will emerge from this process with the massive burden of business debt I incurred trying to keep my business alive removed from my back. I would recommend David to anyone going through the bankruptcy or debt release process with only one caveat: If you aren't willing to listen to and follow his advice, then you are wasting your time, his time and your money.
