Brent is an amazing attorney and a great person.. I got myself into some very serious trouble from drinking too much.. Needed help right away and guess who answered his phone and got to me right away ??? Brent... He set up a plan, and explained it and how he would handle the case. 9 months later afte...r getting through some very tough situations he has my cases dismissed without prejudice and my life is back on track.. I highly recommend Brent and I appreciate him very very much !!!!

Working with Brent Thompson was very smooth, transparent, and ultimately everything you would hope for when working with an attorney. I was unfortunately stopped after driving the wrong way on a previously two way street in Oak Harbor, WA and subsequently brought in due to a DUI. I scrambled to find ...a lawyer on the weekend since I had a hearing the following week after Friday evening. I was very surprised Brent was able to take on my case as lawyers are really busy and it was a holiday weekend. The day before my arraignment or first court hearing, I met with Brent and he essentially laid out all the details including the min/max penalty, the laws around this particular situation, and everything above, below, and in between. Still feeling overwhelmed, we went to the court house for the hearing and I knew it was the start of an uphill battle to figure out how this will affect my life. Mind this, I am an out of state client which added more depth to the case, but Brent took care of everything. I was able to return home, continue to work, etc. I was really anxious at first and followed up with Brent A LOT. Over time, I realized things will be okay and we should take things a step at a time. Into the Fall, Brent was very transparent of his other priorities including other cases and trials which I understand eat up majority of his hours. I really appreciated the fact that he was transparent about that and up front. No one likes to be left high and dry and that was never the case working with him. Some other things that stuck out when working with Brent is he went above and beyond to call an attorney in my home state to figure out options on probation. Fortunately/unfortunately, requirements in my home state were pretty bad and I only needed to come back to WA once to take care of a couple things like ADIS and an AD Assessment. Coordination to do so was not difficult at all and Brent was essentially the coach that let me execute it from my perspective with ease. All in all, Brent is someone who will represent you very well and more. He's local to the area and knows all those involved. Though he's an associate at his firm, I felt like I was working with a partner. I'm thinking like Mike Ross from Suits but way more bad ass. He's an Oak Harbor High School alumni and played sports. I was the same but a few years after him. Brent is professional, personable, and honestly, I wish I met him as a friend rather than through this circumstance but it is what it is. If you are reading this review and are having reservations or concerns about this guy, don't. Like I said, he will represent you to the best of his ability and more. It is up to you to do your part as well.
