Julie Caputo Review

Julie was the third lawyer I had consulted with to end a long-term marriage to a narcissist. She came highly recommended from a good friend and I was very impressed in our consultation. Julie talked me through the entire process from day one; the emotions, fears, tears, financial aspects, and everyt...hing else that comes with ending a marriage. Julie was very aggressive when she needed to be, but also calm and respectful through the whole process. After several attempts to get the ball rolling Julie had to file a motion to get a response from the other side. We were on the phone as well as computer until 11 p.m. one night in an attempt to not go to court the next morning. Her hard work paid off that night. One obstacle down many more to come. We had to go to mediation twice due to lack of cooperation from the other side....very frustrating the games people play. Julie was always ready with the materials we needed to fight back. I would also like to comment on her staff; everyone was very knowledgeable and kind. Phone calls and e-mails were returned in a timely manner from Julie or her staff. Julie is a GREAT lawyer as well as a wonderful human being. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a lawyer.

What can I say

What can I say about Julie. Julie was my 4th attorney in a case that has lasted over 5yrs. Julie came on as I had just got screwed over by my previous attorney who not only wasted $25K of my money (in one month) but did such a horrible job on my revision motion that I was personally sanctioned $5...,000. Julie immediately got to work and helped guide me through the constant chaos of my case and life. She operates foremost with integrity and her legal strategy is based on achievable results while being respectful of the court. This pays off dividends as filings were targeted and results were achieved while not being boisterous or putting her ego on display like many others. She sticks to the facts only. Attorneys in my experience (and I have a lot) tend to operate off ego and "winning", not doing what's best for their client. Julie always advised and did what was best for me and my son and avoided fighting with other attorneys. She only wanted to solve problems. At first my goal was to get my ex to comply with our parenting plan, as it became clear my son was suffering and my ex would never comply, this changed to target change of custody. As anyone who understands the state laws around major modifications, change of custody faces almost an insurmountable threshold. We did meet that threshold and after a six-day custody trial Julie was able to secure a ruling granting me custody and sole decision making. The judge stated, "substantial evidence produced at trial", Julie left no stones unturned and made sure to check every box the court needed to make its ruling in my favor. I feel like Julie and I have been to war together and there is no way I could ever possibly thank her enough. The one thing I have learned from all of this is how absolutely crucial it is to get competent and skilled representation. I tell everyone to get the best attorney you can afford. Don't screw around because you can dig a hole you can't get out of. If you can get Julie on your case, then you can walk into court knowing you're in good hands and she will do right by you and your children. I just wish I had her on my case from the beginning. Thank you, Julie. You're a blessing.

Excellent attorney for child relocation case

When I needed an attorney to help with with a child relocation case, Julie came highly recommended. I can understand why that is the case. She is thorough, she asks questions I hadn't even considered, she laid out my options and the likelihood each would come to play in the event we went to court. Ju...lie acted as the go-between with my ex-husband, taking his often over-bearing comments in stride. Nothing seems to phase Julie. She had my best interests' in mind and she accomplished exactly what I wanted.

Relocation w/Parenting Plan Modification

Any family law case involving children is both stressful and fragile. Julie Caputo took over my Relocation with minor modification to parenting plan case in July 2016-June 2017. Julie did an exceptional job from start to finish on my case. She literally saved my family with her professionalism, strat...egy and absolute integrity. She is highly experienced in her field with a prestigious well rounded education. From my personal experience from being Julie’s client this past year, I’ve learned that she is a warrior and advocate for what both reasonable and the over-all best outcome for all of her clients’ specific situations. Meaning, I never felt like “just a client”-ever. Julie’s authenticity as a person in my opinion was ranked as high as her professional experience. If you need a fearless, poised, sophisticated Family Law Attorney that will not back down when the unpredictable happens, then HIRE JULIE CAPUTO. I believe Julie brings out the best in her clients by her example of non-reactive wisdom, proficiency and integrity. Prior to hiring Julie Caputo, I had one mishap after another mostly caused by my previous attorney simply being inexperienced, my ex husband being high conflict and my ex husband’s attorney being extrovertly bad-tempered and at times disreputable. Initially, I overlooked my previous attorney being “new” to Family Law given that I was told by my former trusted divorce attorney that this Relocation case was “easy” and “straight forward” as I am and always have been primary parent. The truth is: no one can predict the future. Even after the advice of my trusted former divorce attorney, multiple consults with other professionals; I hired a Relocation attorney prior to Julie and unforeseen difficulty/opposition invaded my life through this case causing me great pain, fiscal demotion and a near hopelessness for a positive outcome for my children’s best interest. My ex-husband and his attorney bluntly objected to my Relocation case without any adequate cause. Preposterous even harassing objection after objection from my ex, misfiling by my previous Relocation attorney whom ultimately made my “easy” case into a complete mess causing detriment to my children (in that these conflicts created a reason for my ex-husband to seek out custody as primary parent). The first day I met Julie for a consult about the horrifying condition of my case; she spoke to me with absolute truth (even about the unknown and unpredictable) while having a heart for my biggest concern: the well being of my children as custody was now an issue. Julie’s authenticity and straightforwardness was how I was able to swallow very hard decisions regarding my now vulnerable case. In spite of my “easy” case being wrecked by misfortune on multiple parts, my sole reason aside from what I’ve mentioned above for hiring Julie was that she has been a GAL which is a neutral advocate for what’s best for the children. I knew that she of all other attorneys would know what it meant to put children’s needs first. I saw Julie Caputo’s heart for my children embedded in the first motion she ever wrote on my behalf. Despite the many uphill battles I’ve faced with my seeming broken case, I recall vividly that after reading for the first time how Julie led legal documents/declarations during my first hearing with her, that no matter how this ended I’d land in ultimately what is best for my children with this Relocation. In spite of all the adversity my case came to Julie with, she completely won my case without ever even having to go to trial. Julie never backed down from any threat or bullying behavior from my ex husband or his unprofessional attorney. Julie’s legal approach is what led me to victory and safety for not just my Relocation but more importantly-the BEST outcome for my greatest loves, my children. We are all doing fantastic after such a hard year. Julie saved my family from an impossible situation because she is extraordinary.
