Consumer Protection for Goods or Services - NOT
I'm a member of ARAG Legal Network where Delaina M. Dancey listed as Consumer Protection for Goods or Services attorney. I've called her office and was told that they don't handle Consumer Protection matters. ARAG representative said they will investigate the discrepancy.

Exceptional attorney!
Lauber and Dancey were our attorneys for our bankruptcy. Ms. Dancey was available for any questions I had or returned my phone call within a few hours. They were fast, efficient, and personable in every way. I would recommend them to anyone needing to go through a bankruptcy.

Excellent Bankruptcy Lawyer
Delaina was knowledgeable, helpful, fast and efficient. There were a few times when I did not understand things, but was able to call the office and have Delaina answer my questions, or find an answer for me. I really appreciate how Delaina kept me in the loop and informed on procedures. She was a pl...

Dont be fooled
Delaina advertises as being concerned and experienced -- here is my experience I contacted Delaina after receiving a response from Thumbtack searching for an attorney to handle a tax debt. I also saw Delaina and her partner Ashley in a commercial - debt relief legal services. I set up an appoi...
To clarify: Ms. Smith met with us for an initial consultation and was not charged. Ms. Smith then had a roughly 1 hour Means Test Appointment, she had two phone drafting appointments and a 2 1/2 hour in-person appointment. During these appointments, we covered many, many details of her case. I spent that time listening and consulting with Ms. Smith using the bankruptcy software to make sure things were covered well and we had a solid strategy to move forward giving her optimal protection. After these appointments, Ms. Smith mentioned she would like to seek a second opinion and I strongly encouraged it. When she let me know she would not be using our services, I followed my word and agreed to refund the money that remained after the firm's time was subtracted. We submitted her a refund and invoice, and she is disputing her need to pay for the firm's time spent directly with Ms. Smith on her case. (She was only charged for the time we spent with her on the phone or in person. Ms. Smith was not charged for phone calls, emails or any other costs.) As to that refund, Ms Smith is in error. She has received over 50% of the initial amount paid. This amount only includes time spent prior to Ms. Smith requesting a refund as set forth above. It does not include the multiple emails or phone calls (one berating our staff) afterward. If a meeting had been scheduled, I would not have charged to discuss billing or fees owed. It does not include the time I will spend responding to the Bar complaint she has made, nor the complaint to the Federal Trade Commission, nor this reply to Avvo or to any other social media site Ms. Smith chooses to avail herself of to air her grievances. She has stated she is pursuing legal action against us, so while I am naturally disinclined to speak of any privileges, I am hesitant to say more if a lawsuit may be pending. I am a careful, diligent lawyer who will carefully look at your case and zealously represent your interests. I will take the time it takes to make sure we are moving in the right direction before filing. I'm very sorry Ms. Smith does not believe she should pay for the time spent on her case and the extent to which she has gone to keep from paying.
