Eric John Harrison

This review is long overdue. Attorney Eric J. Harrison saved me from a bad situation I had gotten myself into and which was made worse by me hiring an unscrupulous attorney before I found him. Over a year ago, I hired a small window company based in Lynnwood to replace approximately half of my window...s in a 1953 house. They did a terrible job and the owner would not concede to making me whole or that his workers even did the damage to my house that they did. I found out after the fact that the neither the city of Burien or the state of Washington has any building codes relevant to single family residences for window replacement so they could get away with installing windows any way the want to! No flashing tape, cut your cedar siding, no trim, cut off the window nailing fins and just fill everything with caulk that bubbled and lifted. I was not just disappointed, I was depressed. Who needs a headache like this with a contractor--especially when the windows are leaking and your now worried about other damages to your home? I hired an attorney out of Tacoma (Tom Dickson) because from his website it appeared he had the experience and knowledge for this type of law. He assured me of things that weren't true and took my retainer over the phone--I will post a full review on him later but just know he took me on an emotional roller coaster ride demanding more money with each turn and nothing he did for me was actually helpful in the arena of LAW. After sinking $ 6K into a bad attorney and being taken for an emotional roller coaster ride--I couldn't do it anymore. My mother actually found Atty Eric Harrison from California on her cell phone and convinced me he was brilliant and I should call him. I argued with her, said I don't think he specializes in what I need, but I conceded and called Eric. I hate to admit it, but my mother was right!! Working with Eric was a dream. There was no unscrupulous drama that I had experienced with Dickson Law Group and he eventually (after several months) was able to negotiate a reasonable settlement with the window contractor's insurance company. He is a real attorney--Counselor First, attorney second. He is brilliant, patient and is upfront with what he can and cannot do. I saw no bag of tricks, just a great attorney who can do any type of law that he sets his mind to. He is not confined to one type of law, he is willing to do whatever is in your best interest, not just his. Thank you Eric, not just for the settlement and closure of this aweful experience in my life, but also for your calm, quiet support. I am in admiration and wish for you many more successes.
