Retained him for a criminal case; spoke to me ONCE, 3 months later he had done absolutely nothing. I called him and advised him that I was seeking alternate counsel due to an absolute lack of effort on his part and a concomitant complete lack of faith in his abilities. I asked him how much of our ret...ainer was left, and was advised that $1200.00 of our retainer was unspent. I demanded that he cease and desist all efforts on my case and advised him that I wished my monies returned. I called him the next week to arrange a meeting to recover my monies, and was told that he had "spent the remaining money making copies of everything on my case to make it easier for my next attorney."
