I was in a very complicated and potentially expensive situation and Katrina Zafiro was recommended to me by another attorney whom I trust inexplicably. She gave me all my options reg...arding the case and was willing to pivot and go whichever way I chose. We ended up bringing in a colleague of hers to assist and he was amazing as well. Hiring attorneys is expensive, but Katrina and her colleagues are very reasonably priced and 100% worth it! I can't even imagine what the negative review about her is referring to, because Katrina made herself available to me while she was out of office and NEVER once made me feel that my case wasn't important or urgent. And while the other party ended up having the lawsuit dismissed, I would have trusted Katrina to go all the way to help me fight for what was morally right! I hired Katrina in 2011. Best decision I ever made. She represented me for my divorce and parenting plan. Fast forward to 2020, she still has remained my lawyer for modifications I needed. Throughout the whole process she made me feel comfortable and confident. And has always been receptive to my qu...estions and concerns. I do know she is human and has other clients, takes vacation days and has court hearings. She has never once neglected me or my case. If she was busy, she informed me and reassured me she would get to me as soon as possible and she always did. Although my cases have been challenges, Katrina used her expertise and I always came out on top. If you want a family law attorney who is sympathetic and empathetic about your needs, then look elsewhere. Katrina was referred to me by my close friend and I was excited to work with her. Luckily, I was able to get a consultation with Katrina relatively quickly. I wanted a simple letter drafted t...o sent out on what I thought was urgent. After 3 days of no action and me reexplaining my situation multiple times to her paralegal and her associate attorney, I was told by Katrina’s associate attorney that my case is not urgent and that it would cost additional $500 to contact her on her vacation. I am sorry that my case is not urgent, but when it comes to matters regrading my kids, it’s really important. Luckily, I was able to find another Family Law Attorney who was quicker and to reach rather than having to explain my case to her associate or her paralegal.

Katrina has protected me for over a year from my ex-wife who has defrauded me into marrying her in order to to obtain immigration benefits. My ex began cheating just 6 months aft...er our wedding. We were only married for 11 months. Once I filed for an annulment, in order to stay in the U.S. my ex wife attempted to frame me for domestic violence to exploit the VAWA I-751 waiver loophole and remove her 2 year conditional residence status, with intent to continue exploiting me financially by relentlessly perjuring herself in court. My ex had incredibly wealthy parents and they have hired the most expensive attorney they could find. This case went to trial, and lasted longer than the duration of our marriage. My ex and her counsel were merciless in their attacks. During this time I was an emotional wreck. Katrina's kindness and compassion, combined with her stellar communication and response times was the one thing that has kept me sane. Unlike other attorneys, you can talk to Katrina any time. You can ask her anything. You will get a detailed response almost immediately. Her documentation is the most detailed I have ever seen. She remembers everything you tell her, and uses it to protect you. Her document organization and technical skills are top-notch. Her knowledge of the law, including obscure case law, is a weapon your opponent should be very afraid of. She is always on time, meeting every deadline, and she will make every attempt at saving you money on litigation. What was the end result of my case when we went to trial in front of a King County Superior Court Judge? WE WON. Plain and simple. We won, and I was awarded thousands of dollars. Katrina's attention to detail and clarity in explaining the important points to the court have prevented my ex from ruining my life. I am forever indebted to Katrina for protecting me from the false allegations of my ex, for protecting my career and my future and for exposing the truth.
