I started working in criminal law by working as an investigator at The Defender Assoication in Seattle during college. I later worked at the California innocence Project in law school and helped to free those who were wrongfully convicted from prison. After that, I interned for two years at the San Diego County Public Defender's Office at the trial level. When I moved back home to Washington, I worked on a number of felony appeals.
My practice is now focused primarily on civil matters that may lead to litigation and ultimately a jury trial. The time I spent as a criminal defense attorney gave me inavluable experience that is of great advantage in negotiating settlements and handling jury trials. The civil matters that I focus on include, personal injury and auto accidents, breach of contract, landlord/tenant disputes, denial of insurance claims and wrongful termination of employment.
