Joseph Patrick Corr

Joe Corr is an experienced trial attorney who concentrates his practice of law in the areas of catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, product defect litigation, premises liability, and nursing home neglect and abuse.

As a husband, father of two children, and longtime Seattle resident, Joe is passionate about helping people in his community who have been injured by the wrongdoing of others. Joe understands that his job is to help people who are in need, and he is committed to fighting for his clients to obtain the best possible outcome in every case – large or small. Joe takes the time necessary to understand each of his clients’ needs and to develop a case-specific strategy for getting his clients the most compensation possible. Over his distinguished legal career, Joe has successfully obtained millions of dollars in settlements and judgments on behalf of individuals and families.

Most importantly, Joe knows what it takes to win. He has the reputation of being a bulldog in the courtroom on behalf of his clients. Joe’s success in the courtroom has provided significant leverage at the negotiating table, where his adversaries know he will not hesitate to take a case to trial if necessary to obtain the result that his client deserves. In recognition of his outstanding legal work and advocacy on behalf of his clients, Joe has repeatedly been named as a ”Rising Star” and "Super Lawyer" by Super Lawyers magazine. This prestigious distinction is provided to only the top 5% of attorneys in Washington State.

Joe began his legal career as an associate at Williams Kastner, where he specialized in toxic tort and catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death litigation. He then became an associate and a partner at Lane Powell, where he successfully handled a variety of complex litigation matters for national and international companies. After working at some of the largest law firms in Washington State, Joe co-founded Corr/Downs in 2005 with the goal of helping individuals and families navigate the litigation process every step of the way.
Joe received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 2001. While in college, Joe was a proud member of the Golden Gopher Division I Track & Field and Cross Country teams. He was captain of the Cross Country team and an Academic All-American in 2000. Joe received his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 2005.

Joe grew up in Sammamish, Washington and attended Eastlake High School. He is an avid Seattle sports fan. He is also an active participant in community outreach and engagement, having coached a number of youth sports teams in both the YMCA and CYO leagues. When he is not spending time with his wife and two children exploring the wonderful West Seattle neighborhood, Joe enjoys playing golf with friends and sampling one of the many fabulous Seattle restaurants.
