My fiance was involved in an automobile accident in 2016. She suffered injuries including a traumatic brain injury, (TBI). The car was a total loss. In 2013, a vehicle struck me while I crossed the street as a pedestrian. There were two vehicles involved; one ran a stop sign causing the crash. I hit my head and injured my back. At first I thought I could manage by myself, but soon enough I felt harassed by the two drivers’ insurance companies ...and my own. I began to shop for attorneys. In my twenties I had a bad experience with male lawyers when dealing with my grandparent’s and father’s estates. One man who was to represent me yelled at me, insisting that he didn’t “have a crystal ball” and couldn’t foresee the outcome of my case. She fought for me when one driver’s insurance company tried to avoid responsibility of my bills claiming they did not have to pay since their driver, who ran a stop sign, did not actually hit me but pushed another car into me. We sued them and made them pay not only my bills, but my fees and costs incurred in suing them. All my bills were paid. In complete wonder, I was 1,000% satisfied. Melissa is compassionate, dedicated, and incredibly intelligent. She actually used to work for the insurance side before switching over to fight for the little guys. Talk about an invaluable asset! Melissa and her team did a great job in managing and fighting for my health and well being with the insurance companies.
