Dellino is too high volume.

Callie is probably a good lawyer in a different context. Shortly after hiring her she told me that she had 60 concurrent clients and her paralegal would sometimes triple-book her hours. I would have switched lawyers if I had time in my case (I needed to file a reply to my ex-partners motion immediate...ly). She seemed very rushed when I spoke with her, which I believe did not allow her to understand the details of my situation. She then made a number of mistakes. She made a very poor argument when we filed a motion to accelerate the family law calendar even though the initial commissioner on my case invited us to accelerate the schedule. She forgot to file that motion to accelerate the calendar on time, which affected the results. We discussed sending over a parenting plan to my ex-partner to settle the matter. It took her more than a week to draft a basic outline of the offer and I had to finally prompt her again to complete it. She also didn't send the offer to opposing counsel for a number of days afterwards (related to the delay in filing the motion to accelerate the calendar). She charged me for reading multiple drafts of my declaration without providing any feedback. Because the calendar acceleration failed I had to wait 3 months for a hearing -- during this period I lost significant time with my child and it was very damaging to my relationship with her and community. Callie was eventually helpful when revising parts of my declaration closer to the hearing. However I did have to review her planned oral arguments. I suggested different oral arguments and she agreed that mine were stronger, which she then used. After the commissioner and a judge ruled in my favor, Callie failed to inform me of a deadline to make a request for my ex-partner to pay for my attorney fees. In email exchanges about the procedures for this, she was wrong. In the end, AI was more helpful than Callie. From what I know of her as a person though, she seems smart and competent. It's my view that she works at a firm, with billboards all over town, that has a huge volume, making it impossible for any of their attorneys to provide a valuable service.
