a bright spot in the industry

I used David Linville to represent me in a lawsuit to fight a construction lien claim as well as counter claims I had vs the plaintiff. David was professional, responsive, very fair on his billings, knowledgable allowed me to be involved as much as I desired, and kept me in the loop all along the wa...y. During the course of the lawsuit due to David's clever thinking we won a partial summary judgement invalidating the lien claims which I considered a major victory as this took away the plaintiff's ability to collect attorney fees if the lawsuit were to not end in my favor. We never did end up going to trial but I am positive we would have prevailed as David was in my opinion the better lawyer and our claims were stronger. Would I use David again, in a heart beat and without a doubt.

Thankful for David

When my husband and I found ourselves in need of an attorney for some construction industry issues David came highly recommended. In the 6 months or so since we began working with him, I've known him to be professional, very knowledgeable, and above all I know that he's advocating for us all the tim...e. While we know he has many other clients, I am always able to get a hold of him when I need to and he treats me as if I'm his only client. Whether you need help with contracts, client disputes, or anything else I would highly recommend David.

A True Professional

When I came to David Linville I had been through my fair share of lawyers. I felt as through my concerns weren’t being heard by other lawyers, and that my case wasn’t as valuable as other “big” cases. I own a small to medium sized construction business specializing in demolition. I had tried to educa...te myself on tax law and needless to say I was falling short of competency. A colleague of mine referred me to Linville Law Firm and that’s where I found David. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He always has time to answer my questions and always tries to teach me not just talk at me. I feel as thought David’s goal is to help me to learn and eventually do many of the day to day tasks by myself. This makes me confident that he is invested in the people and not the money. I recommend David to all my colleagues!

Couldn't be happier

Da vid had been our company lawyer since we switched lawyers 2 years ago. The big difference is the practical advice we have received. No cheerleading. David has consistentlly asked the right questions and given us much help in getting paid for our work, and negotiating contracts. He is very low key,... modest and very accessible. No more switching for us!

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"David is both very professional and personable. He knows Construction law and how to handle lawsuits. He has been opposing counsel in multiple suits, as well as one of my 'go to' referrals when a client needs counsel on construction or contractor disputes or collections. In addition, he is great source for feedback on 'sticky' or unusual legal problems. He also makes every effort to do the right thing, even when on the opposite side of a matter. I refer clients to David with full confidence they will be in good hands."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
