a lawyer you can trust!

It takes a good lawyer to do what you need, it's a very trustworthy lawyer who tells you that you would be better suited to another. Mark got back to me right away and was courteous and helpful. As it tuned out the services that I was seeking were better suited to another firm because of the type of ...small business that I have. He was direct and helpful about that, and even sent me information to help me along. A lawyer that you feel safe with is a rare person in this world. Definately a good person to turn to.

Relationship: Co-worker

"I had the great pleasure of working with Mark for more than a dozen years until I retired. In Mark's case, Avvo got it right--10.0. He is one of the best attorneys I have ever worked with and I would recommend him to any client any day. His clients and co-workers have the greatest respect for Mark, as they should. At DLA Piper, he was chosen to lead the Corporate Governance Group consisting of hundreds of corporate attorneys working with public companies. At the same time, he superbly advises clients in general corporate, M&A, and venture capital matters. Mark is a very gifted attorney and special person."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
