A honest lawyer

I had to talk with many lawyers and some took advantage of my case to create more fear to myself and some of them wanted to be immediately hired. Dana was completely professional, sensible and honest. I was reading her reviews and just can say those are true she is a kind person that you want to work... with. She was a person who you could count on. She was an honest and excellent lawyer.

Dana Fights the School - and wins!

Nothing strikes at the heart of a parent more than when their child is in peril. When our son was faced with extremely egregious and wildly false accusations at his high school, which rapidly rolled into a criminal case, we were shocked, frightened and completely out of our element. Very fortunatel...y, a close friend recommended Dana. From the first time we spoke with her, we felt that we weren't alone in this fight. She quickly took control of the situation. As the blows kept coming, she stayed ahead of everything, reassuring us and our child along the way. Dana was able to use her extreme intellect, experience and tenacity for bringing the over-looked facts and truth to light which was what was needed to successfully overturn/dismiss both the school and criminal cases. Her attention to detail, outstanding organization, professionalism, compassionate communication, and unfailing positive attitude were essential in helping us all through an extremely challenging time. My hope is that, after what Dana brought to light, no other child is treated as ours was. However, if you are in need of someone to help you take on the School (suspension or expulsion), and/or a criminal case - look no further. I have every confidence in Dana's excellence and that you could not possibly find better representation for your child.

Brilliant Angel on Earth

We had a complicated CPS matter with a 22 year old malicious, inexperienced, low level and uneducated CPS worker and a police woman who lied and a two year battle that started with a literal SWAT raid on did not get better from there. We did not believe that what we experienced could occur in the US ...and were in shock what a kangaroo court CPS is and how paranoid and unfair the CPS system is and how completely rigged against families. Dana fought on every front, with every fact, with every strategy against Child Predatory Services. All the parents she is fighting for our good parents caught in an abusive system that does nothing to protect kids but is happy to destroy loving families. She went above and beyond constantly, was super smart, comforting, emotionally supportive, clever, creative, and unflagging in her strategies and teaching us how to cope and what to do. She dug up the facts our other lawyers never even bothered to find that were critical to case and showed just how far the caseworker went to lie, break rules, and go against "protocol" because she felt like God and could do anything she wanted. Dana was responsive, available via phone, even came to our house in the beginning, and also collaborated with me to come up with the best plan. If you are dealing with Child Predatory Service call her immediately many other lawyers are either predatory themselves overcharging or indifferent and do nearly nothing. She is literally an angel on earth fighting every day with a system that is evil and damages families without consequence or care. Call her, call her, call her. It will be the best choice you can make!

Medical Abuse Allegation

Medical Abuse – What’s that?? That was my first reaction when being contacted by a Social Worker in Everett, WA. after being inappropriately referred to CPS by a prominent Children’s Hospital in Seattle, WA. Imagine living day to day with a child who has a complex chronic illness and is unable to e...at more than 8 different foods without intense suffering and pain. Imagine that child being unable to live life as a child should be able to, and having to give up loved activities such as dance, gymnastics, swimming and others from a pure lack of energy and unrelenting abdominal discomfort. Imagine this illness being undiagnosed! As a parent, as a good parent, you would go to the ends of the earth to find a diagnosis, and thus potential treatment plan for your child. You would explore every avenue possible to help your child. You would have tests performed; medications tried, and even look into any and all alternative medicines available. This is what a good parent would do. This is also what the local Children’s Hospital considers Medical Abuse. Too many doctor visits, too many tests, too much trying! When this allegation was first brought to my attention, I thought there was no way anyone who knew us and had been part of this ongoing life with us would even for one second do anything other than laugh at this absurdity. I quickly found out, however, that CPS is not interested in digging deep into those who truly know. The system appears to be designed for a hospital to send in a referral, and CPS to do a less than adequate job investigating. As I saw more of what I perceived to be ineptness occurring in the social worker assigned to our case, I knew I had to do something to protect my child and I from the absurdity of the allegation….an allegation sent in 5 months after my child had even been seen by anyone at this hospital! Upon researching online, I quickly came across Dana Brown’s name, and was quickly drawn to the information regarding defense against CPS found on her website. I emailed Dana on a Sunday, and received a response back that very day. After a discussion with Dana, I hired her to represent me. From the start, Dana was engaged and active in my case. She listened earnestly and openly to my situation, reviewed my child’s medical history, and believed in my innocence. She provided me with needed education on the process CPS would be following, expectations I should anticipate, and hope that this case could close as ‘unfounded’. Dana communicated directly with the CPS social worker, ensuring that CPS was following statute and law. She provided information they seemed to be neglecting, and repeatedly reminded them there was no evidence to support this allegation. Her tenacity, knowledge, drive, determination and never waiving commitment to me ultimately ended in an ‘unfounded’ ‘verdict’ from CPS! Alongside Dana’s amazing legal skillset, is also a highly developed emotional intelligence proficiency. When thrown into situation like this, stress, worry, concern, and even anxiety seem to become prominent daily. It’s imperative to have legal representation that understands this component as well as the technicality of the law. Dana was always compassionate, understanding, available, and supportive throughout our work together. She was also able to convey a sense of partnership with me on my case, and encouraged and respected my thought process. I would highly recommend Dana for any case involving CPS, in particular the nebulous and unreasonable allegation of Medical Abuse. She will fight for you, for your family, for your rights. And, she will walk through your case with you…not in front of you, not behind you, but right alongside you.

Saved My Job

Because I drive for a living, the reckless driving ticket I received was devastating. Dana was incredibly thorough in getting to know me and looked at every aspect of the ticket from the traffic, to specifics about my car, to the officer and his report. She obviously cared about me and by finding... problems in the case and working with the prosecutor she was able to get the charge dismissed. I felt that she looked at this simple ticket through my eyes to see how important this ticket really was.

"I referred a very good friend to Dana for her CPS/dependency matter. Dana was amazing. She jumped right in and worked very hard with my friend on her case. After about six months of hard work and research Dana was able to prove that CPS completely failed in their investigation. This resulted in the court dismissing the dependency and returning my friend's children to her. I firmly believe that had my friend taken the attorney provided by the court there would have been a different outcome. While those attorneys are good they have so many cases and simply do not have the resources to put into a case like Dana did. Anyone going through a CPS and/or dependency matter needs to have an attorney on their side from the very beginning. Dana would be an amazing choice and advocate."
