Landlord or Tenant 70%

I represent both landlords/property owners and tenants/occupants in all types of landlord/tenant matters, including evictions, damage disputes, and breach of contract. I also handle all types of eviction actions, including residential, commercial, foreclosure, and estate matters. I excel at unconventional landlord-tenant disputes and if you are having trouble finding a good lawyer, I may be the one for you. I also handle more typical disputes very economically.

When a small claims case, eviction, or trial does not go your way, you may have an option to appeal that judgment. I represent parties in appeals before both the superior court and the court of appeals.

Debt Collection 10%

Sometimes settlement is not possible and clients end up with a judgment against another party. I handle collection of money judgments and enforcement of other judgments and orders on a case-by-case basis. I will review your case and, if I cannot handle it, I will recommend other attorneys or better options for enforcement.

Consultation about landlord responsibilities

I did not hire Chris as he addressed all my questions in my initial request, but I will definitely hire him when I have the need. I sent Chris a question regarding landlord rights and responsibilities dealing with companion animals. Chris responded back promptly and provided a very thoughtful and t...horough response with a lot of very good information. i really appreciated the time he took to provide this information to me, and will turn to him when I need a good lawyer.

Rising Star

So here's my story... For the second time in my career I had to deal with an eviction. Given how devious and manipulative of the system the tenant was, I felt considerable pressure especially at the zealotry exhibited by the city they had contacted to pursue me. Naturally I called Evan Loeffler w...ho had handled my previous case with exceptional merit. Evan reminds me of a bantam fighting rooster and I love seeing that kind of aggressiveness in my lawyer. I have to admit when Evan said he was quite booked and suggested a coworker, I was quite disappointed. I did however trust his judgement. Christopher quickly gathered the relevant facts and instantly formulated a plan. He was direct and to the point and made understanding the process quite clear. I also appreciated that he did come up with back up strategies just in case. He was punctual and all paperwork was handled same day. I could tell he was busy but felt he was very responsive and kept me appraised throughout the process. What I appreciated most is when talking with each other, the conversation was as if between a couple of friends in open, communicative and down to earth terms; not some clinical, apathetic, stereotypical lawyer talk. While professional at all times, I found the occasional expletive was particularly reassuring. When it came time for court I was a bit taken aback by how young he seemed since that was the first time we met face to face. Additionally, when he mentioned the opposing counsel we'd be facing was his former mentor and a veteran of 30 years my heart sank as there was a lot riding on the outcome. While I had no doubt my position was justified, I understood that had little bearing on the case compared to what you present and how you prove things. Opposing counsel presented some clever arguments to start. Any doubt I may have had faded the instant it was Christopher's turn to address the court. He was bold, assertive, spoke clearly and confidently and went for the throat from the start. He was concise and presented undeniable facts and I could tell the tide had immediately shifted with the judge. Opposing counsel now seemed unsure, hesitant and pleading while trying to grasp at straws by comparison. To be honest, when the arguments started getting very technical I didn't understand much. However, what was quite clear is that opposing counsel seemed to be trying to distract with drawn out, flowery speech and attempting to apply lots of confusing and irrelevant technical jargon. Christopher by comparison was laconic, effectively countering with specific and succinct points that left no room for counterargument or wasted speech. My last encounter with the courts and the city had opened my eyes of how real the possibility is that you may find yourself in a world of hurt based on some trivial technicality, despite being in the right. The victory this time was so complete, it actually restored some of my faith in the system. I hope to never have to use Christopher's services again but should I ever find myself in a similar situation I will not hesitate to contact him.

Christopher Cutting will get you results!!!

Christopher Cutting helped us with an extremely difficult eviction and repossession of our equipment and belongings that were kept at the residence. Christopher is very thorough and worked long hours into the night due to the urgency of our case. He informed us of all possible outcomes - both good a...nd bad. He protected our rights during and after the process. The process involved court proceedings, police, and a very aggressive and abusive tenant. Christopher handled negotiations under difficult circumstances and to our satisfaction. He remained very calm and focused during the entire time. He was there the entire day of repossession in the frigid weather and did not leave even for food! We highly recommend Christopher without hesitation.
