Since 1995 I have represented clients in nearly every legal capacity regarding the care of the elderly, minors, and folks with developmental or mental health disabilities.
I am a sole practitioner. I represent individuals and institutions petitioning for guardianship and Alleged Incapacitated Persons who are the subject of guardianship petitions. I represent professional guardian/trustee agencies and private, non-professional family-member guardians/trustees. I accept appointment as Guardian ad Litem in Guardianship (RCW Title 11), Probate and Minor Settlement (SPR 98.16W) matters.
With my prior experience in Family Law, I have been appointed under Title 4 to represent the interests of allegedly incapacitated individuals who are party to divorce proceedings.
I am a frequent volunteer for the King County Superior Court Ex Parte Guardianship Delinquency and Probate Review Calendar. I assist the court to efficiently monitor review dates for reports, bonds and receipts for blocked accounts, inventories, care plans, probates, and minor settlement age-of-majority.
I have served as Co-Editor in Chief of the Title 11 Guardianship Guardian Ad Litem Training Manual in 2005, 2007 and 2010, 2012.
I was the Guardianship and Elder Law Executive Committee, Treasurer, King County Bar Association, 2008 to 2010. I am currently the Guardianship and Elder Law Executive Committee, Programs Committee Co-Coordinator 2011-present.

Very competent and thorough
Advised us in a number of issues including guardianships, estate settlement, durable power of attorney and other legal matters. She was prompt, provided information clearly and is a great resource. We would not hesitate to recommend her services.
"I have worked with Marsha on several complicated guardianship matters, and find her to be very knowledgeable and approachable. While tough at standing her ground for her clients, she is also adept at creating win/win solutions."
"I highly recommend Marsha. She is a wonderful, caring, and knowledgable attorney with a tremendous amount of experience. I regularly refer clients to her for guardianship work."
"I endorse this lawyer. In the past four years, I have worked on multiple cases in which Marsha has been involved either as a guardian ad litem or as counsel for a guardian or trustee. Marsha is knowledgeable, experienced, professional and personable. She does an excellent job both as GAL and as counsel for her clients."
"Marsha is extremely knowledgeable about guardianship and one the attorneys I most commonly turn to for advice on my own complex guardianship cases."
