From the beginning, it became clear that her primary concern was money, not my case or my family’s well-being. She required a $15,000 deposit and billed in an extremely aggressive manner. Shockingly, the entire $15,000 was billed before she had even filed my divorce case. She even spent time inves...tigating my personal background and billed me for it, despite the fact that I explicitly told her I could provide any information she needed if she simply asked. I was fully willing to spend my own time gathering documents to reduce costs, but she showed no interest in doing so. In addition, she billed me for every minute spent printing documents and even charged separately for paper. I informed her that most attorneys use e-filing systems, but she insisted on printing everything so she could read it on paper—again, at my expense. No matter how short an email was, even just a few words, she charged $80 for each one. A phone call lasting only five minutes also resulted in an $80 charge. When I emailed her to try to discuss and negotiate the billing, she responded by abruptly stating that she could no longer represent me. This decision left me and my two young children completely abandoned, without receiving a single penny of child support from their father. This is a simple domestic violence case, yet her actions caused unnecessary financial and emotional harm. She showed no concern for my situation or my financial limitations at all. While she was very kind and reassuring at the very beginning, her behavior changed drastically once she was hired. After that point, her focus appeared to be entirely on billing rather than advocating for her client or protecting the best interests of my children. Never, ever hire this attorney.
