Scott Warner is wholly responsible for keeping my life in one piece, safe and sound! Without this his brilliant, creative legal mind, I wouldn't be able to survive in today's complicated legal world and the forest that is Intellectual Property Rights and other scary beasts. I am honored to have worked with this fabulous Human Being since 2012. I recommend him to anyone who might be looking for the best attorney in the entire world!
We are a Seattle based IP/Technology development and licensing company and have been working with Scott since 2005. He has our the-go-to-licensing-attorney who helped us with all of our licensing deals with companies that are much larger than we are.
Scott is one of the best of the best ... and I can recommend highly for any technology company that is engaged with a technology licensing, at least, when it comes to hardware, f/w and s/w, IP/patents licensing. He is able to see the "whole" picture, think thru about both technology and business aspects, and propose some practical solutions. Always useful.
I am an owner at Garvey Schubert Barer, where I head the Intellectual Property practice. I work with a diverse array of clients - from established companies to startups - bringing a combination of business savvy, domain expertise, creative thinking and more than 15 years of experience to address my clients' business needs. I have experience with the run of the mill to the complex technology-related legal issues all companies face – including computer law, licensing, e-commerce, data collection and protection, privacy, copyright, trademark, trade secret, tech transfer, and various internet-related legal issues. I assist my clients with all aspects of their intellectual property rights and business transactions, including employment contracts, trademark and copyright, non-disclosure agreements, publishing contracts, and licensing and distribution agreements.
Solving business problems often requires input from a variety of disciplines and legal practice areas, and I take a holistic approach to understanding each client’s unique needs, discussing various options with them, and proposing practical, “right-sized” solutions. I have worked with entrepreneurs, seasoned public company executives, game publishers, artists and non-profit managers in a range of industries such as content creation and curation, manufacturing, transportation, gaming, publishing, hospitality, healthcare, and food and beverage. My ultimate goal is to achieve my clients’ business objectives through a collaborative, realistic and effective approach.

The cutting edge of technology and IP law
Scott is not just my attorney, he's a strategic advisor when it comes to emerging technologies and the current state of IP. Most recently Scott has been engaged to determine what issues we should be considering as we look to incorporate blockchain and cryptocurrencies into our business. This is a very complex field that is changing rapidly. I feel better knowing I have an expert of this caliber in my court.

A great counsel
Scott and his team at GSB has been a fantastic asset for our new company, and helped us work through all sorts of corporate, HR, IP and financing situations without breaking a sweat. With his experience in our field, he's a great person just to bounce an idea off, and it's fun working with him. Best of all, GSB don't charge like the big national firms.
