Rachael Rachelle Wallace

Rachael’s civil litigation practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, aviation law, product liability, class action defense, and employment disputes. She is experienced in defending against tort and contract lawsuits involving federal preemption, consumer protection act and unfair business practices claims, and product liability on behalf of automotive and aircraft manufacturers. Her aviation experience includes litigating under the Air Carrier Access Act, the Airline Deregulation Act, the Montreal Convention and its predecessors, and the Federal Aviation Regulations.

Rachael’s employment practice consists of resolving state and federal discrimination claims and advising on and litigating Seattle’s Paid Sick and Safe Time ordinance and Washington’s Paid Sick Leave law, including accrual rates, variable rates of pay, exemptions, policy language, permitted uses, notice requirements, and matters involving compliance. She also assists clients with correcting improper classifications of employees as independent contractors. Rachael regularly drafts and reviews severance and separation agreements and advises on the enforceability of non-compete clauses for both employers and employees.
