Hello, my name is Katie Comstock and I'm a shareholder at Levy | von Beck | Comstock | P.S. My colleagues and clients agree that I am a tenacious, knowledgeable, and caring advocate. I'm licensed to practice law in Washington, including the United States District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington. My practice focuses primarily on construction defect litigation, real estate disputes, commercial collection, and homeowner and condominium association disputes. Ethical, competent, and professional
We were concerned about the legality of portions of the new governing document drafts proposed by our HOA Board and contacted Katie for legal advice with homeowner property rights protections in mind. Very professional - Great experience
Being new to the homeowner world, I found myself in a terrible predicament. Katie was very professional and told me upfront from the beginning that I had a hard case. I appreciated how she was upfront with me instead of giving me and her communication was great throughout the process. If your having a Real estate problem and you have been missed treated give her a call.

Renovation Nightmare
We were in a nightmare situation with a contractor who walked off the job. Not only did he not finish the project, but he damaged the house in the process. We hired Katie on a contingency basis and within months she settled the case with the contractors insurance company. Needless to say, we were very pleased with the results.

Fast File Success!
I cannot say enough great things about this firm. I worked with Dave and Katie, but it seems the whole firm pitched in to get this thing done pronto. We received our settlement in less than a month, check in hand, and made a quick file at my request due to statue of limitations concerns on a real property title issue. I am an attorney, but not this kind, and I feel fortunate to have just stumbled on this firm. I now refer my clients to this firm for their real property issues (already referred one person). I would highly recommend them for your property matter.

True Professional
I contacted Katie regarding new construction defects in a Seattle area townhome. I had tried to work with the builder without the assistance of an attorney and was getting absolutely nowhere. Katie spent at least 45 minutes on the phone with me getting the details of the situation. Upon conclusion of the conversation I felt confident in her desire and ability to help resolve the matter. Katie is very knowledgeable regarding construction issues. She clearly explained our claims based on the agreements in place with the builder and directed me on how to proceed . She was able to recommend quality engineers who could help further assess the extent and magnitude of the defects. Throughout the negotiations Katie was on top of the details at every step, offering good advice and keeping everything moving forward. Ultimately a settlement with the builder was reached (without litigation) and we received funding for proper repair of the defects. Katie did a great job and I'd highly recommend her.

Knowledgeable and efficient, for settlement of residential renovation dispute
Though a lawyer myself, I was stumped on how to handle a billing dispute with a contractor on my major home renovation, given my unfamiliarity with the industry. I needed some reality check about the industry, how this might play out if it escalated, what are reasonable expectations, and the like. Ms. Comstsock definitely had the expertise to provide that information and advice. In helping me settle the matter, she also appropriately calibrated how aggressive to be at each turn in the negotiations, to match the changing circumstances. Ms. Comstock was very responsive to my calls and emails and consistently delivered exactly when she said she would. She also understood that I was budget sensitive--a homeowner, not an insurance company or corporation--and was open with me and included me in decision making about how best to allocate the resources we were able to devote to this.

Homeowner's class-action suit against builder...
Katie was one of the key members of the team of lawyers that represented a community of homeowners of which I am a member in a suit against a very large national builder. Her insights, thoroughness and follow-thru were instrumental to the team's success and her coordination and communication with the folks being represented was terrific.

Part of the team the won a major settlement for our over 55 community. With 1000 of us as clients they still kept us fully informed and were very professional in everything they did. One of the best.

Permissive Use Agreement
Katie showed knowledge and expertise when dealing with my land use dispute. She was willing to go the extra mile to ensure my problem was well thought trough and taken care of. Katie also kept me up to date on the progress with timely and thorough communication. She was able to provide me with a final product that was easy to understand, yet covered all the issues. I had a couple option on how to approach my situation and she was able to explain to me the risks and pros associated with each option. I would strongly recommend Katie to any of my friends or colleagues.

Thorough and informative
Katie did an excellent job assisting us with our townhome association's claim. We had many different personalities and questions that needed to be addressed and she managed to meet everyone's needs and still keep a clear focus on the big picture. She was very thorough in her research and in providing us a plan for proceeding forwards, despite numerous complicating factors. I would recommend her wholeheartedly.

Disappointed
I hired Katie Jean Comstock for my personal property damage for a claim against an insurance company. I was very disappointed in the services What Levy-Von Beck & Associates provided. There was not any effort made by her at all. I lost time and money.
