Debora Silberman

Debbie Silberman has dedicated her career to standing up for people when they need it most. For more than eleven years, she was a public defender in Brooklyn, New York, representing thousands of clients in one of the country’s busiest court systems. From her earliest days in that role, Debbie volunteered to take on the toughest and most challenging cases, the ones others shied away from, because she believed that everyone deserves a fierce advocate by their side.

That commitment has carried into her civil practice. Today, Debbie represents survivors of sexual abuse, with a particular focus on children who were harmed while in juvenile detention. At Oslund Udo Little, she feels fortunate to work alongside some of Washington’s strongest trial attorneys, holding institutions accountable for the profound harm they allowed to happen. Her approach is trauma-informed and client-centered, combining sharp litigation skills with empathy, patience, and the belief that survivors’ voices should never again be silenced.

Debbie’s passion for advocacy began in childhood. She was never afraid to speak up or stand up for what she believed was right. That instinct grew into a career fighting powerful systems on behalf of the most vulnerable. Whether it’s taking on government entities, corporate defendants, or entrenched institutions, she brings relentless energy and purpose to her work.

After twenty years in New York City, Debbie moved to the West Coast so that her weekends could be spent in the mountains. When she’s not in the courtroom, you can usually find her training for ultramarathons, hiking, traveling, or chasing any outdoor adventure that pushes her limits. She believes that the resilience she draws on in the wilderness mirrors the resilience she sees every day in her clients, and it fuels her determination to keep fighting for them.
