Our 12-unit condo complex required some major repairs to our decks due in part to wind driven rain and poor construction. Upon suggestion from our architect and construction company that our issues are something insurance might actually cover, we filed a claim with our insurance company but it was of... course denied. At this point our HOA met with Dan. He was very honest about the process, possible outcomes, costs, and clearly communicated what to expect if we wanted to secure his services. Throughout our meeting, Dan was not pushy at all. Looking back, our community is very happy we hired Dan. He kept us in the loop throughout the whole process and promptly responded to any questions we had. Dan knew our insurance policy inside and out and in the end he was able to convince our insurance company to cover our repairs. This was the best outcome we could have hoped for and avoided more costly and time consuming measures that Dan had also prepared us for. At this point Dan acted as our liaison to the insurance company. I, being the treasurer of the HOA, submitted our invoices to Dan and he made sure they were properly submitted to our insurance for prompt re-imbursement. The construction on our decks took nearly a year to fully complete (partly due to our lovely winters in the PNW and partly due to Covid restrictions). Throughout it all, Dan was very patient and continued to periodically checked in with us on the construction progress and advised us when we should submit our invoices for insurance re-imbursement. The entire process went smoothly with Dan and his team leading the way and we are so grateful that Dan was able to to help us put our hard earned money back in our pockets.
