Hi there and thanks for visiting my page! Let me tell you a little bit about my practice.
For over 27 years, I have worked tirelessly for clients throughout King County.
Divorce and family law is a very emotional area of the law, and I have worked exclusively in this area. I am committed to providing as much support as possible to all my clients. My goal is to get you through this process as smoothly as possible. Sometimes we will need to get the court's input on issues and other times we will be able to work out agreements with the other party. Working out agreements that are fair and equitable and in the best interest of your children, if applicable, is always the best option and makes this process much more bearable for you. However, if we need to go to court then so be it and we will do it together!
I began working in family law in 1998 for another attorney in King County. In 2003, I opened my own law office. In 2014, I decided to move my office to my home in Auburn.
Because I am a sole practitioner and work out of my home, I am able to spend as much time as needed, whenever needed, on each of my cases. I often have phone conferences in the evenings and weekends to accommodate my clients' schedules. Shoot me an email and we can set up a time to chat!
Thanks so much for taking time to review my page:)

Review for Kathy – Bruya Law Office
Going through a divorce is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but having Kathy from Bruya Law Office on my side made the process so much easier. She was absolutely amazing—professional, compassionate, and unwavering in her integrity. What impressed me most was that Kathy ensured fa...

Great Divorce Attorney!
Kathy represented me in my divorce. She was responsive to my questions and is experienced in this field. She asked what my desired outcome was and gave me realistic expectations as to whether that outcome could happen. I felt that I had a great legal advocate who had my back. I don't plan on getting ...

Highly Recommend
Kathy represented me in a high conflict divorce from a suspected narcissist. She supported me through nearly two years of my ex husband’s games, lies, character attacks, and attempted manipulations. She was steadfast and honorable and a strong advocate while maintaining the high road of truth and...

Fantastic Lawyer for High Conflict Divorce
From a late night call when I was leaving my husband, to the final decree a year (!!!) later, Kathy was helpful, kind, compassionate, responsive, and overall a delight to work with. She helped me become more confident, stand up for myself and my kids, and she fought hard to get a fair (and then some)...

Complicated case successfully navigated with Kathy's experience and hard work
Kathy was everything I could have hoped for from a lawyer for my child custody situation. Through the many twists and turns of a very complicated case, she brought expertise, compassion, and keen problem solving throughout the process of getting custody of my daughter. I have deep trust in her exte...
"I happily endorse Kathy. I had a case with her several years ago and she was a strong advocate for her client while also being a great person to work with. This is helpful in a practice area that can be high in conflict."
"I endorse this lawyer. She's been responsive, knowledgeable, easy to deal with but non-compromising when it comes to her client's interests."
"Kathy Bruya represented me in my divorce when my prior lawyer had fired me as his client. I had a very ugly divorce going on, but, bless her heart, this little lawyer pulled my cojones out of the fire. Kathy Bruya is my all time favorite divorce lawyer. She's the "A" in Advocate. She's tough. And awesome!"
"Katherine is a tireless, hard-working, and smart advocate. You will not be disappointed in retaining her for your family law matter! "
