Our experience with Vijay and his office was disappointing and frustrating. In my opinion, it seems like Vijay's practice is designed for clients who fit within a streamlined, cookie-cutter process, where volume is prioritized over individualized service—at least this was the impression we received...

My wife and I needed a will drafted and picked Vijay since he was available through my workplace's legal plan and well reviewed. Our goal was to set up something fairly simple that would take care of our assets should we both pass at once. Our assets are not massively complex and we just needed somet...
Dear Prospective Client: I apologize you did not have a good experience with us. We assist clients with estate planning needs on a daily basis, and we have worked for years with various legal insurance providers. When discussing the estate plan concepts, we review all facts and circumstances very carefully and methodically; this allows us to assist the prospective client in determining the possible courses of action. In our years of practice, we have never had a client that has been dissatisfied with our finished product. In estate planning, there are many pitfalls and unintended consequences that may occur if the right planning is not put in place—particularly in light of the differing federal and state estate and tax laws. Nonetheless, we always recognize that the final decision for the estate plan rests with the prospective client. It is our belief that a prospective client would not want us to prepare documents on his or her behalf that may not be appropriate given the specific estate plan wishes and the facts and circumstances surrounding the case. Although rare, if a client wishes to pursue a course of action that creates an elevated degree of risk, now or in the future, we reserve the right to not accept the case or to withdraw our representation of the client in the matter. We feel it reasonable that a prospective client or client would understand and appreciate this degree of professionalism and ethical conduct. Initial consultations are designed to gather facts and information and to discuss estate planning processes in general; they are designed to pave the way for the correct course of action to follow. Once an initial consultation is complete, it is our policy to allow prospective clients time to process the information and to discuss among themselves how they would like to proceed. At the end of an initial consultation, we ask clients to get back to let us know if they have any further questions and to let us know what type of plan they would prefer. We specifically take this approach to allow prospective clients the opportunity to discuss the issues in private, and so they do not feel pressure to make a decision on the spot. It also allows our attorneys to further analyze the information obtained at the initial consultation. If we do not hear back from a prospective client within 2-3 weeks, our office will generally follow up to see if we can offer any additional assistance or guidance.

My wife and I set up a family trust with Vijay. He was complete, knowledgable and very professional. We had 2 meetings, one to assess the design of the trust and one to sign all the papers. More important than the process (which Vijay has honed to be very efficient) is that the structure of the tr...

Professional, personable and an expert in his field. The decision to contact him was based on reviews that I read, so now it is my turn to 'pay it forward'. Vijay was able to thoroughly explain the inner workings of a Trust and all of the components involved. The entire process was smooth and straigh...
