Thoughtful Organized and Responsive

Gwynna and her team handled my child support issue in a professional manner. She addressed issues quickly and efficiently and ultimately got my issue resolved fairly.

Outlining a series of Mistakes

Gwynna seems great, I immediately connected with her personality and she seemed like the good kind person to go up against the other litigious lawyer. I'm just going to outline her mistakes one by one so others can know that at least in my case did a terrible job at representing me from the beginning... until the end. 1. Gwynna forgets to confirm our first trial hearing. This pushes the case back a few months. After such a huge mistake you'd think she'd be extra prepared on our actual court date. 2. When we go to court, Gwynna has another mediation trial on that date. Gwynna is unprepared, weak, and does nothing to defend me. The other lawyer comes down hard and I get supervised visitation something I would never have gotten with a better attorney. 3. Gwynna suggests I not work. so that i can focus on the case. This was poor advice for a father who's career is up in the air. 4. Gwynna suggests that I give my ex $700 a week voluntarily as child support, to make it 'not about money'. That's a lot of money for someone who doesn't make any. 5. Gwynna decides to send me to a consultant. A forensic psychiatrist who works in the child custody field to prepare me for my meeting with the parenting evaluator. This was totally not needed and I didn't ask for it. Gwynna withheld the information she had that my parenting evaluator and the forensic psychiatrist had professional beef at the arch-nemesis level. I had to hear that from the consultant she sent me. 6. Gwynna also withholds information that she has that the parenting evaluator is a lesbian women. 7. Parenting evaluator finds out that I saw her arch-nemesis and writes a letter saying she does not know if she can continue to write the report in an unbiased way because I have seen her arch-nemesis. 8. I should have been told that she was a lesbian at that point at least so i could have made an informed decision. The opposing counsels father is gay, her best friend is gay, there was all sorts of identifying going on. Also, the evaluator I believe because she was a lesbian (or just the kind of person she was i don't want to generalize all lesbians) was prone to be swayed by bias. She wrote a report where she just believed everything the mother said and nothing I said. 9. Gwynna quit at a crucial time right before she left Tedd Billbe to start her own firm. 10. $1.5 million dollars. I got nothing. Possibly 3 hour visits in Anacortes every other week. But i fighting to just get that now. Other problems. She has issues with anxiety, this is not a good fit for someone who is anxious about what might happen with your child. She sometimes loses her temper. She didn't know, how to take control of a situation where both my parents and I were involved in communication. I literally cannot think of one good thing that Gwynna did for me or my family. She made mistakes at every turn, she caused more anxiety. She also fell into traps of the other lawyer. First court date Gwynna is mumbling how she hates 'Katherine K' as she hurriedly signs off on something so she can get to her other tiral. Basic lawyer tricks Gwynna just doesn't know or do, she thinks and tries to convince you that playing nice is the only way to go. Other examples of how she got out lawyered...When trying to hire a consultant for trial she puts the name of the consultant in a court announcement instead of just saying Specialist TBD. Then the next day the opposing counsel's lawyer highers someone from the same firm so Gwynna can't hire her. Her lawyer new better and just said Specialist TBD on her form. After this i remember her drawing my dad and my a picture about how Katherine K was a full service lawyer. I don't know what level of service Gwynna is but it's a level of service that just isn't effective.

Legal Assistance

She helped me settle a child support plan issue. She was very good at getting things done on time and provided legal advices.

Highly recommend Gwynna

I worked with Gwynna on divorce, child custody, and child support issues. She did an excellent of preparing me for the process -- I always knew exactly what was going on, and what the next steps were going to be. She was also a fantastic advocate for my children and helped craft a support/settlement/...custody agreement that I am very happy with and truly grateful for. I felt she was very attentive and responsive with my case. I would (and have) recommend Gwynna, and would see her first with any future legal needs.

I would definitley work with Gwynna again

I was referred to Gwynna's lawfirm from a friend who had used the firm and acheived success on their custody/support case. Gwynna was great. She remained very logical, supportive and kind during this emotional time for me. She was always reachable and responsive when I needed to consult with her. She... even gave me some advise well after my case was handled and she no longer represented me. I consider the outcome of my case a huge success and I owe a lot of the credit to Gwynna. Thanks Gwynna!!
