Bita Soltan-Qurraie

Bita helped me navigate through the most difficult time of my life. I was uneducated on divorce and Bita, from the start, was very factual how men in our "no fault state" are treated. I brought in 2/3 of the household income and braced myself how a large chunk of my income would go to my at fault... partner. Bita is supportive. When I called Bita I was under so much stress. Having her take my case relieved so much pressure that I was under. I felt she was sincere and very strait forward. Bita was only good at getting ME to concede on every issue in my custody/support case. I came in with a better plan than I came out with. She dragged out the ordeal as if we were going to trial but then called me up at midnight telling me I had to get my witness list to her immediately as she was un...aware of the deadline. She totally underestimated her adversary thinking she was making headway when in fact she was getting manipulated by the opposing lawyer. She didn’t know to read a tax statement, and was generally unknowledgeable about several legal and financial aspects of my case. When I asked her to negotiate a simple boilerplate issue of how long I needed to give my son’s mother notification if I were to travel with my son in case for instance we had an opportunity to travel to see a World Series game her response to me was “maybe I shouldn’t be a co-parent”. When I showed her email to a top notch lawyer friend of mine their response was “maybe she shouldn’t be a lawyer”. Enough said.

I hired Mrs. Soltan-Qurraie to represent me as I went through an amicable divorce, principally to ensure that I didn't make mistakes and that my best interests were protected. I am completely pleased with the results and have zero complaints about anything that occurred in the process. What I liked... best was her ability to shift her approach based on my wants. Apparently, not many people are still willing to be loving toward their former partners - so Bita was caught off guard, a bit. I will admit that she was solidly skeptical, and like a good attorney she advised me strongly about actions that should be taken to keep me protected. I have contacted her more than once since the divorce was final, four years ago now, to ask for a referral and/or generally catch up about how life is going.
