Finally, an opportunity to beat up on a lawyer!!

Our agency used Mike, and others, in handling a very complex long term contract negotiation between a couple dozen potential parties. The planning period for the negotiation took more than a decade. The contract itself took a few years. During this time period I found Mike to be highly skilled and... adept at identifying troublespots and areas where issues needed to be clarified in the contract. His professionalism and demeanor was valuable in setting a positive atmosphere for the negotiations and ultimately achieving a successful outcome. We were extremely pleased with the quality and timeliness of his legal effort, and the success that he helped us achieve.

Mike has worked for our company for over 20 years. The reason Mike is still our primary attorney is because of his skills as an attorney along with having integrity.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"I worked with Mike as a partner at Hanis Irvine Prothero, PLLC for about four years. Mike is a fine attorney, dedicated and detail oriented. He has more experience in his field(s) of law than most attorneys can rightfully claim. I would endorse him any time and would give him a five out of five rating. Remember, his gray hair is a sign of experience (not age)."

Relationship: Co-worker

"I have been Mike's law partner since 2004. I have come to know him as a lawyer with high ethical standards, one who can see the big picture, and one who will fight very hard for his clients. He is a well-respected leader in the field of utility, sewer, and water district law, as well as construction law. I have seen him in trial mode and can tell you he is always very well-prepared, highly focused, and an intense litigator who still has the ability to relate to, and effectively communicate to, the people on the jury. I've also had the pleasure of getting to become a friend of Mike's since joining him as a law partner. He's a fun person to be around, has a wicked sense of humor, and is about the nicest guy you could ever find."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
