Steven G. Toole had built his reputation by fighting for his clients throughout western Washington, and doing it with dignity, respect and with the utmost professionalism. He has utilized these attributes to now develop a very successful mediation practice--creating excellent rapport and trust with both plaintiff and defense attorneys. Steve has been recognized for his efforts and earned the respect of his peers. In over 45 years of practice, he has been appointed/elected to various Boards, Committees and lawyer related Task Forces, and has received numerous awards and accolades from legal associations and other attorneys, including:

In the mediation field, Steve has completed formal mediation training through the Straus Institute at Pepperdine University School of Law and has attended numerous other ADR CLE seminars and conferences. He conducts the typical half day and full day mediations, but will also tailor the length and format of the mediation to suit the needs of the parties, including conducting telephone and, of course, Zoom or other videoconference mediations. Steve mediates throughout the State of Washington.
Steve is regularly asked to mediate by all the major insurance carriers and can provide references on both the plaintiff and defense side. He mediates all types of tort cases, including automobile, premises liability, professional negligence, employment discrimination and timber trespass. He has also mediated cases involving boundary disputes, breach of contracts and partnership dissolutions,and other general civil matters. If Steve is not familiar with a particular area of law, he will do the necessary research on his own time so that he can best be prepared to assist the parties in resolving their dispute. If the case does not settle at the mediation session, he will continue working the case for days, weeks and at times, even months.
