Ruth Vizcaino

Ruth Vizcaino focuses her practice in family law. Ruth has extensive experience handling family law matters at all stages of litigation. Over her years of practice, Ruth has worked on cases involving divorce, legal separation, parenting plan modifications, prenuptial agreements, and emergency custody matters. At Alinea, Ruth handles nearly all high conflict cases involving custodial disputes. Ruth believes in leaving the families she serves in a better place than where they began with Alinea. Understanding how expensive any contentious family matter can be, Ruth works with clients to keep their legal costs down without sacrificing results.

Prior to focusing her practice in family law, Ruth gained extensive experience litigating employment cases involving wrongful termination, sexual harassment, retaliation, as well as gender, race, disability, and age discrimination. Ruth litigated against corporate and state employers including, The Boeing Company, Microsoft, Costco, Facebook, Blue Nile, SAP, Harborview Medical Center, T-Mobile, The University of Washington, Swedish Hospital, among others.

Ruth, a Seattle native, graduated from Boston University Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor degree in History with distinction. Following graduation, Ruth worked for the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office Child Abuse Unit as a victim advocate in Boston. Ruth returned to Seattle to attend Seattle University School of Law. In her spare time, Ruth enjoys cooking and running with her beloved husky, Odin. Ruth is fluent in Spanish and French.
