I was looking for an attorney to help me with issues with my ex who has a diagnosis of mental illness. Neal came highly recommended by other attorneys. Neal is not only very knowledgeable about family laws in WA, I am mostly impressed with how strategic he was in dealing with a mentally-ill person.... While working on my CS modification motion, Neal was able to communicate with my ex effectively and also was able to stay on course while my ex tried to argue about many irrelevant issues. (My previous attorney was not able to do so and we lost our case because we were caught up and distracted in defending ourselves against his frivolous irrelevant claims). Neal won my CS motion for me. He is very professional and has a no-nonsense style. He does not do unnecessary works that costs extra charges. I have recommended him to a couple of my friends and will continue to recommend him to anyone who needs a strong, knowledgeable, and efficient professional.

I hired Neal some 9 months ago and his initial promises on being tough in court, being fair and being diligent are all mis-representations. In fact, after paying him $20,000 he became lazy and lacked the depth of research and attention to detail my case needed. Neal has a case of ego, pride and h...ubris that cannot be touched. Ironic since he is in a profession that reaches the bottom of the barrel in regards to the world of attorney's. Neal stated that he had a 190 IQ when challenging him on strategy and his lack of diligence on my case. Ironically, he stated that he has a 190 IQ, yet, he cannot articulate his points in court, always has the details incorrect, has slow memory recall and usually needs items spoken to him then written to him as a reminder. Let's be honest, divorce attorney's are really the dropouts of the legal world and are laughed at by even defense attorneys. Neal needs ti improve his practice and his concern over money, constant threats to quit (even though he is under a statement of work with me) because he wants to save his time and money as opposed to pursuing my case diligently. Not a good hire but I am stuck with him for the time being.
