I hired Doris to take over the estate issue for my late sister from another lawyer in Mercer Island last year. Doris is far more efficient, knowledgable and professional. I'm glad that I chose her and so thankful for her help.

We hired Doris for estate planning. I am very glad that I did. She was very gracious in giving early appointment as I was traveling. She is very detail oriented, responsive and knowledgable. We got everything done in less than a week.

I worked with Doris for myself and my husband immigration case. Our immigration case was so complicated and it was on hold for more than 9 years. I spoke to several top lawyers around Seattle and California to see if they can do anything to help me resolve my case, none of them were willing to take my case, they just told me “it’s too complicated, don’t waste your money and time, just wait and see".
I went to see Doris to prepare a will for my family and we just started talking about work and my status and I told her about my immigration situation and she just said “I can help you”.
We started working with two years ago and now our immigration satiation is completely resolved.
She was able to resolve the most complicated and difficult case. Her positive attitude, her honesty, and dedication is priceless.
She was my lawyer who went above and beyond to get my case resolved, but now am proud to call her a dear friend.
She is the best lawyer any one could have!

I have a real estate contract that is not possible to close from other lawyer opinions. I contacted Doris, she guided me, my real estate agent, and escrow officers on the right steps to take to close the deal. She is very responsive, detail oriented and always considerate thinking from her client stand point. Without her, the deal would not have happened. Highly recommend and many thanks to her.

Doris helped me bring an end to my not-so-happy first marriage, with the divorce being final on October 5, 2015. I had naively entered into this first marriage 11 1/2 years earlier, without a pre-nuptial agreement. I felt that my ex-wife, who was now living on East coast, stayed in the marriage because she enjoyed the security that marriage provides, without really having to participate in a marriage.
Doris was *very* attentive to my case, from start to finish, always returning my phone calls and emails promptly. This even included answering a big concern that developed last year, within a few days of her starting a vacation to Hong Kong!
This case was fairly difficult. My now ex-wife is not the easiest person to work with, as evidenced by her first attorney who ended up resigning from this case. But prior to that happening, there were many times that Doris provided excellent legal research to counter various claims made by this attorney, in his attempts to claim an unreasonable amount of my life savings. As an example, I had purchased my home 17 years before I was married, and had it nearly paid off in 2003, at the time I got married. Yet, opposing council saw no problem trying to grab half of my property! His aggressive style caused a considerable amount of stress, but the excellent research Doris provided successfully fended off this shark.
Doris had to bring a new opposing council up to speed on this case, after working with the first attorney for about 9 months. The case was complicated along the way, when my ex, who is a kidney transplant patient but is also doing quite well, started hinting about playing the disability card. This, in spite of the fact that she was doing well enough to purchase a home by herself in Maryland.
I also had Doris prepare my first will during this time. I will recommend Doris to anyone without hesitation. And, I'll be sure to visit her again for a "co-habitation" agreement if/when the time comes!
Thank You, Doris, for your tireless effort on my behalf!

I got to know here via ARAG network. Last Friday I made the first appointment on Monday morning 11:30 via her website and it had been accepted. However, on Monday 10:45 she just called me said she would like to hearing the requirements via phone for a few mins to make decision if we should meet -- this is not acceptable for a pro, I have to arrange 1 hour time/traffic excursively for this appointment and it seems a waste.
Later I explained the basic issue to her and she keeps saying like: if this involves, she would charge non-ARAG fee, if that present, she would treat like non-ARAG, if it is this, it is non-ARAG ... in the end, I found obviously she is much more interested to discuss about ARAG/Non-ARAG than the case itself. She even said like this: your corp lets you to join this legal plan is because it wants you to focus on work, if your matter does not make you focus, you are not qualify the legal plan -- hey, why not put these statement on the website or AARG network to save everybody's resource?
I also tested her professional knowledge. I asked her a few questions, which also asked other attorneys in the first interview too. Her answer was significantly different to others, if it was not total random. It showed she might have less experience on real estate field. This is fine but what she said is that: you should not give a lawyer a guide how to do it. However, the guide/idea I gave to her, is presented by a professional accountant and we need to verify it in the legal aspect. That is the main reason why I seek an attorney. In contrast, other attorneys seriously considered the same idea and gave good feedback without any problem.
The only reason I contacted her was that she speaks Chinese that my parent can talk directly. But based on my experience, I don't think the language could be a plus.
- website that makes appointment.
- Chinese language
- poor time management.
- bad communications.
- less respect to ARAG members.

I'm so happy that I had the opportunity to meet this great professional and caring person. I was going through so much stress with my immigration status and Doris helped me with it all. We planned it and made everything better so I wasn't as stressed. She's a really caring person. Who was really made a huge difference in my life. So thankful that I meet her and got her help.

My family has worked with Doris on two separate occasions, first for the creation of our Wills, then for some help with a complicated real estate transaction. In both instances, Doris proved to be a first-class professional. She is responsive, attentive, and thorough.
Most importantly, we have been very impressed with the personal care that she has provided throughout both efforts. In particular, our real estate transaction went sideways due to a dispute between the builder and a neighbor. She genuinely cared about our family's situation and made every effort to be available in a highly charged and fast moving environment.

Doris helped us through a land use complaint that was brought against us from a neighbor making a bunch of claims that we violated a "private agreement" that was made over a decade ago between the land developers and a private party.
She spent a tremendous amount of time researching and investigate said private agreement. She was easy to work with, very responsive, and kept us informed through-out the process.
She had a well articulated legal response to the opposing lawyer's claim, and the issue has been resolved in our favor.
Thank you Doris for all your help and persistence!

I found Doris's firm via ARAG (didn't know her earlier)
1. She is very detailed - went through my home purchase contract
2. Very responsive - always available, and if not came back to me right away
real-estate/residential "law" novice that I am, she helped me gain the confidence I was looking for
