PEACE OF MIND

After consulting with 3 different lawyers, I chose Tim Edwards because of 2 things - honesty and integrity. He didn't fill me with false hopes and promises, instead he explained the facts and how the courts would interprete them such that I could even understand the trouble I was in. He also said he... wasn't cheap and required a retaining fee to even start. That forced me to think long and hard about what I was getting into. After 21 years of marrage, 3 kids and a wife that hasn't worked since we were married - I had a lot a stake! I chose Tim because of his honesty, but it was his knowledge, experience and integrity that earned my respect. Tim and his entire staff were excellent to work with throughout the whole process. They were all very professional and respectful, yet really took the time to know me and my situation. Their knowledge and experience of the court process and personnel were instrumental in negoitating a fair settlement. While my case had few unexpected turns, they were albe to work within their estimated fee. Nobody wants to go to court, at least I didn't. However, if ya find yourself in situation where you need a GOOD lawyer, I would recommend Tim Edwars and Associates - because you may not get a second chance.

Hired a firm, got a great group of friends!

It's unfortunate to read the bad reviews people have left on here about this firm. I had a totally different experience with Tim Edwards and Associates. My final bill WAS expensive, but divorce is not usually cheap and you get what you pay for. My divorce and custody battle was stressful and ugly, a...s most are, but through it all i always felt that EVERYONE at the firm cared about ME, and showed so much compassion for what my ex and his attorney put me thru. The firm did what they could to keep my costs as low as possible, even giving me the option to do as much of the work as i could on my own. The paralegals and legal assistants also did as much of the work as they could, keeping my costs down. I was always kept in the know as to the status of my case, and communication was always prompt! I called the office several times in hysterics and someone was always willing to "talk me down" from the ledge. Phone calls and emails were always returned to me quickly, and i genuinely enjoyed talking with Tim during our 4 hour mediation. During my initial consultation, it was believed that my case would be fairly simple, and it should have been, but the truth is you can't reason with unreasonable people, and my ex and his counsel were very unreasonable. It didn't take long for my ex's attorney to dry up my initial retainer, and i was NEVER pressured by anyone at the firm about the money. (I have since paid my balance) I aways felt that they were after my best interest. My divorce drug out for a little over a year, and has been final for two years this month. I have since remarried and moved out of state with my husband who serves in the military. We recently found out that we will be transferred out of the country, and i have again hired Tim's office to handle the proper filings for the move. Again, i was not pressured for money. I know hiring an attorney is scary, and you don't know who you can trust. There is a lot of money at stake and reviews can be deceiving. As i mentioned before, if you are going into a divorce, know it WILL cost you (unless you are lucky enough to agree on EVERYTHING with your ex), and you NEVER know how a judge will rule. I was drug thru the mud, but it was at no fault of Tim Edwards or his staff, they were nothing but wonderful to me then, and even now i consider them valued friends! You will NOT be sorry if you hire Tim Edwards and Associates, they are all amazing people and i feel so blessed to have them on my side.

Trustworthy,Knowledgeable, and Empathetic

We used Tim's services one year ago to get a fair child support settlement for my husband's oldest child. Tim was knowledgeable and firm in his representation of what to expect from our requests. He did get us a fair settlement even with some underhanded attempts from the opposing attorney. Due to th...e outcome of that settlement we again used his services when faced with support and visitation issues with my husband's two youngest children. He was confident that we would gain and deserved the added visitation time we desired. He is very well versed on Washington State laws and is up front with the expectations we could expect from his services. We NEVER questioned that we were being represented by one of the best attorney's in the state! Tim gave us every confidence that he was getting us the best visitation and support that we could expect in this state. He and his staff used the utmost decorum faced with some unsavory acts throw at him and his office by the opposing counsel during the course of our settlement. We appreciate all of his assistance in both cases and we are confident that he did get us the best we could get under the circumstances. We would highly recommend him to anyone needing a top notch, knowledgeable, no nonsense, attorney.

Consultation/Representation

After Mr. Edwards cashed $5,000 retainer he worked/stratized my divorce case. Bill from firm was approximately $14,000 in about a three month time frame. He was very, very expensive and feel he worked my case to his advantage not mine. He was not always forthcoming with the truth when i asked him... questions about my case. He also became hard to get a hold of and talk to. He over looked some documents that would have benefited my case. He withdrew from my case and didn't finish the job. Now i have to start from square one. I am very disappointed with his 30 years of experience and do not recommend him.

"I worked under Mr. Edwards while in law school and learned valuable experience about how to not only practice in the field of family law, but also how to conduct yourself as a professional. He is not only a great litigator and fierce advocate for his clients, but he also maintains his professionalism while seeking justice for his clients. I now practice in family law and criminal defense and still use daily the knowledge he taught me by practice and example."
