Wisdom; of people and the law

I contacted Tim Edwards on the recommendation of an acquaintance. My first consultation with Tim was over 15 years ago. He didn't rush me to divorce court; he had the wisdom to advise me to wait, based on what I shared. When the time was right, I went back to him. He and his staff then handled my... ugly divorce and drama-filled custody case with wisdom and expertise--and the best interest of the children at the core. Even though we won custody, ex-spouses don't always follow parenting plans. Within the last year, I called on Tim for advice. He proceeded to win a Contempt of Court case against my ex. Dealing with attorneys, courts, and ex's can bring emotional challenges. Tim is not only a brilliant attorney, but he and his staff are wonderful counselors as well. They know how to help a client through difficult times with empathy, compassion, understanding, and good advice. I've recommended Tim to friends and acquaintances on more than several occasions. I'd recommend him to anyone--except the other side.

PEACE OF MIND

After consulting with 3 different lawyers, I chose Tim Edwards because of 2 things - honesty and integrity. He didn't fill me with false hopes and promises, instead he explained the facts and how the courts would interprete them such that I could even understand the trouble I was in. He also said he... wasn't cheap and required a retaining fee to even start. That forced me to think long and hard about what I was getting into. After 21 years of marrage, 3 kids and a wife that hasn't worked since we were married - I had a lot a stake! I chose Tim because of his honesty, but it was his knowledge, experience and integrity that earned my respect. Tim and his entire staff were excellent to work with throughout the whole process. They were all very professional and respectful, yet really took the time to know me and my situation. Their knowledge and experience of the court process and personnel were instrumental in negoitating a fair settlement. While my case had few unexpected turns, they were albe to work within their estimated fee. Nobody wants to go to court, at least I didn't. However, if ya find yourself in situation where you need a GOOD lawyer, I would recommend Tim Edwars and Associates - because you may not get a second chance.

You can count on this team

Not only would I recommend this lawyer, but I have. Yes, he is expensive, but after 21yrs of marriage, 2 kids, and an ex that makes $100k MORE THAN ME, I WANT someone that knows what he is doing! You get what you pay for people....I don't go to a vending machine for coffee for $.25 because I can ge...t good coffee at a Starbucks.....same thing. They call me right back, they answer ALL of my questions...the good and the crazy...and they put me at ease. Mr. Edwards went to court WITH ME when I had to face my ex and the judge, and we only got $400 LESS than what we were asking, AND he fought for my kids. Say what you want, PAY for what you want...but if you want effective and you want ON YOUR SIDE.....I would recommend Mr. Edwards.

Tim Edwards is your best choice for a divorce attorney to represent you

I interviewed 3 different attorneys before I chose Tim to handle my divorce. It was a complex financial case. Tim took the time to first listen to me. We developed a strategy together. Tim went with me to the best financial accountant he knew and who represented diovorce cases for 35 years. Tim als...o put me into contact with other experts that helped in my case.Tim and his team handled all aspects of my case with extreme professionalism and in a timely manner. The final outcome of my case exceeded my expectations and I have recomended Tim to several of my friends who had a similar experience with their cases.

Hired a firm, got a great group of friends!

It's unfortunate to read the bad reviews people have left on here about this firm. I had a totally different experience with Tim Edwards and Associates. My final bill WAS expensive, but divorce is not usually cheap and you get what you pay for. My divorce and custody battle was stressful and ugly, a...s most are, but through it all i always felt that EVERYONE at the firm cared about ME, and showed so much compassion for what my ex and his attorney put me thru. The firm did what they could to keep my costs as low as possible, even giving me the option to do as much of the work as i could on my own. The paralegals and legal assistants also did as much of the work as they could, keeping my costs down. I was always kept in the know as to the status of my case, and communication was always prompt! I called the office several times in hysterics and someone was always willing to "talk me down" from the ledge. Phone calls and emails were always returned to me quickly, and i genuinely enjoyed talking with Tim during our 4 hour mediation. During my initial consultation, it was believed that my case would be fairly simple, and it should have been, but the truth is you can't reason with unreasonable people, and my ex and his counsel were very unreasonable. It didn't take long for my ex's attorney to dry up my initial retainer, and i was NEVER pressured by anyone at the firm about the money. (I have since paid my balance) I aways felt that they were after my best interest. My divorce drug out for a little over a year, and has been final for two years this month. I have since remarried and moved out of state with my husband who serves in the military. We recently found out that we will be transferred out of the country, and i have again hired Tim's office to handle the proper filings for the move. Again, i was not pressured for money. I know hiring an attorney is scary, and you don't know who you can trust. There is a lot of money at stake and reviews can be deceiving. As i mentioned before, if you are going into a divorce, know it WILL cost you (unless you are lucky enough to agree on EVERYTHING with your ex), and you NEVER know how a judge will rule. I was drug thru the mud, but it was at no fault of Tim Edwards or his staff, they were nothing but wonderful to me then, and even now i consider them valued friends! You will NOT be sorry if you hire Tim Edwards and Associates, they are all amazing people and i feel so blessed to have them on my side.

"I worked under Mr. Edwards while in law school and learned valuable experience about how to not only practice in the field of family law, but also how to conduct yourself as a professional. He is not only a great litigator and fierce advocate for his clients, but he also maintains his professionalism while seeking justice for his clients. I now practice in family law and criminal defense and still use daily the knowledge he taught me by practice and example."
